Summer vacation
I have two Christian Lacroix scents in my collection. C’est la vie! and C’est la Fête! I prefere this. This is light and fruity and has a summer vacation feeling to it. The top is all about fruit but I smell jasmine almost from the beginning. And the vanilla comes through after 5-10 minutes. It works great on my skin. Not too sweet and not too floral. The base is not very outspoken to me. The scent just fades away after three to four hours.
The bottle is nice, too. Delicious colours, though the design of the bottle is a bit to the macabre side - or is it just me?

Fruity mess
This is sweet, cloying and a real mess from the point of view of composition.
Artificial from head to toe, worked in such a deplorably bad way that it feels sticky and sweet. There are so many fruit-salad components in it that the feelings they arouse in me can only be negative. The base is vile and adds to the general feeling of hyper-artificiality characterising this composition.

30 Degrees in the Shade
Today is sweltering hot. Not a breeze is stirring.
The dog is sprawled out on the cool tiles, ears drooping.
The little birds are sitting quietly on the perch, spreading their wings.
What scent can one endure in these temperatures?
Clearly: C `est la fete.
It reminds one of Caribbean days, lying in a deck chair, being served long drinks made from passion fruit, apricot, and pear by coffee-brown beauties with flowers in their hair.
So refreshing!
It smells of orchids, and a mild rose scent brushes the nose.
In the background, you can hear the rhythmic sounds of a steel band - and if it weren't so hot, one would dance.

C`est la fete is a refreshing, invigorating celebration for the senses.

Fruits and Flowers from the Bottle
C`est la Fete by Christian Lacroix is, alongside Bazar, a fruity-floral perfume from this brand that I really like, as I’m not a fan of overly strong fruit bombs;) A truly successful scent where fruity and floral notes balance each other perfectly! It reminds me very much of summer, the scent of flowers, warmth, the sun, and fruits enjoyed in the summer heat:)

Right after application, this treasure is already beautifully fresh-fruity, quickly transitioning into the floral, making for a successful mix of flowers and fruits!

Apricot, fresh-juicy pear, and a hint of black currant blend here with floral notes like subtly perceivable jasmine, and strongly the wonderful scent of orchid, sweet-citrusy smelling rose, and a bit of vanilla. These notes from the top and heart notes quickly merge within a few minutes, smelling refreshingly fruity-floral, almost having a relaxing note! Luckily, the black currant doesn’t play too much of a leading role here, which I’m not too fond of;)
A hint of musk, which is not very pronounced here, and also rather little added sandalwood give the fragrance bouquet a slight animalic-woody note, yet in this perfume, the fruity and floral notes clearly take center stage.

Definitely worth trying!

Had it about 10 years ago and remember it being great for my unexperienced nose. Warm, sweet, powdery, puts you in a cocoon of a nice aura.

The mix of fruit, berries, and jasmine feels mundane today - I still can't warm up to this loud and clunky perfume.

Sold in giant bottles... The reason is obvious: it has to be used as a body spray to be noticeable. At least for me.
