Eau Extraordinaire Clarins 2022

This little fragrance needed more than a date to fall in love.
Some time ago, I received a mini bottle. Clarins was never a brand that was on my radar. My first reaction was the same. "Oh no... it's another one of those healthy eco-scents!" Then I simply forgot about the little bottle.
At some point... much later, on a hot summer day, I stumbled upon it while tidying up. I tested it again, and it still wasn't that great... The first sharp "citrus flash" didn't grab me.
And then it happened.... I have the habit of applying a tiny bit of perfume before going to bed, usually just a dab on my décolletage. What can I say? The little herbal witch suddenly shed her jute robe and underneath she wore a green velvet dress... with glitter. She was stunningly beautiful! Who would have thought? The seduction was successful. By now, the large bottle of "Witchy Magic" resides with me. Treat yourself to the magic - especially now for summer!!!

Eau Dynamisante, the scent character like the lovely Wendy, my darling from a good family, now has a "newborn" brother. Or was it a sister? You decide. In any case, I am not talking about a gentle baby that smells of milk and cream. No, it is a very young person with a fresh, almost sharp mind, immature green, bitter, and full of energy on the threshold of adulthood. However, it never wants to be and cannot be. A kind of "Peter Pan" among fragrances.
The big sister Eau Dynamisante appears almost soft and floral in comparison, while this "Tinker Bell" or "Peter Pan" (whichever you prefer) is so exuberantly fresh, cheeky, and teenage-like. So don’t be fooled by the elevated relatives.

Extremely young, quite cheeky, and green behind the ears, this teenager dares to speak quite frankly despite the jasmine. After all, it is heartfelt, supported by a hint of patchouli and cedar. But first, the audacious, self-assured little one giggles and puffs, spraying forth a bitter freshness and tries to make fun of all the venerable chypres and noble orientals! But where would that lead us? I want to admonish it, but I remember just in time: at heart, it is friendly in an honest, unflowery way, and it holds the family honor: it can not only smell good but also offers some care. I capitulate to such spirit.
On hot days, I will gladly let myself be accompanied by this refreshingly bitter, mild-citrusy, grass-green whirlwind.
However, adulthood is unimportant for Eau Extraordinaire. In scent character as well as in its development. But it doesn’t need to be. What else would it be "Wendy," my darling?

As a lover of green scents, I had to test this one right away. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite convince me - at least in today's cold weather:

In the opening, citrusy and with a distinct jasmine note, I still like it. However, an almost piercing sharpness increasingly comes to the fore. This does not feel warm at all, but rather cuttingly cold. On top of that lies an indefinable floral note.

The citrus is dangerously close to the edge of being reminiscent of a toilet cleaner, but it is just in time tempered by the bitter note.

The base note is bitter and cool, still accompanied by the aforementioned cool sharpness.

Overall, the scent reminds me a lot of "Green Tea (Eau Parfumée) | Elizabeth Arden," but it feels less balanced than that. The piercing undertone and the cooling effect make it rather unpleasant for me in the currently wintry temperatures. It will go in the drawer until midsummer.
