Series 1: Leaves - Calamus Comme des Garçons 2000

On this skin Calamus is a milky scent. Opening with a fresh cucumber note, beyond the unfortunately much too short Angelica soaked pencil sharpener phase, it becomes, briefly paprika-honey-sweet, a soft, light powdery and sweet green, which is rather "white". A warm white, very round and clean.
Reminiscent of the first vanilla seconds of a white TicTac (before it gets minty), almost gourmand and then indefinitely floral. Complex but not complicated.
Well carried by loud characters who practice mimicry of loveliness. Strategic. Innocent. Benevolently, Calamus smells slightly of fresh calamus. It has less to do with calamus root and its wild, daring qualities.
As a young person I worked with calamus extracts, preparations and tinctures. Because of its bitter substances, its hallucinogenic effect and its aphrodisiacal! Properties that Calamus olfactorically does not evoke. Except for the transience. Calamus shares this with the effects of its namesake.
