Blackwood Sugar Common Brimstone 2014

Oh yes, I know those, they're the ginger spelt speculoos from the organic store :-) delicious and warming in the cold pre-Christmas season.

Extreme ginger opening, sharp and sugary, like those candied ginger sticks. It's too one-note spicy for me. Great for ginger lovers.

Smells like Christmas time when Grandma baked cinnamon cookies, very cinnamon-heavy and lots of clove.
But luckily, it doesn't make you gain weight.

Candied ginger sticks with a lot of cinnamon, the opening is so sugary-sticky sweet that it almost makes me feel sick. I unfortunately don't smell any wood.

Ginger and cinnamon pure... where's the dark sugar and the wood from the name? :-(
