Vanilla Rose Dessert
Some time ago, my daughter mixed a fragrance herself and named it "Vanilla Rose". She only used rose, vanilla, and a few splashes of raspberry. "Jardin d'Antalya" smells almost exactly like my daughter's creation, like a Turkish delight with an extreme amount of rose water: extremely sweet and dessert-like. The "Jardin series" by Isabel Derroisne supposedly contains only pure natural fragrance ingredients, which seemed plausible to me when sniffing it. A very simple scent, for whose creation no special perfumer training was required.

I love desserts...
...and when I received this "fruity rose dessert from Turkey
"(borrowed from Chanelle) from my daughter for Christmas, I had to sniff it right away. It has something, even though I find it extremely sweet and can't and don't want to wear it all the time and everywhere.
But it's not good to eat dessert every day! ;-)
After all, these should be savored. And it's the same with Jardin d´Antalya, it sweetens some of my hours and when it should run out, I hope I can still buy it! :-)

The Fruity Rose Dessert from Turkey
I am not a rose lover, not even particularly interested in floral scents. However, our uncrowned queen of roses overwhelmed me with a full-size bottle of the garden from Antalya, and I thought - wow, if this isn’t good, I’ll have to discreetly pass it on without hurting her feelings!
But, oh wonder! I find it stunning, and stunningly GOOD!
The top note is unusually soft-herbaceous-spicy, which I simply did not expect from this fragrance.
The pièce de résistance, however, is the heart note:
It comes across as gourmand, but not in the sugary, almondy, or honey-like way that I have come to expect from many other gourmand scents that I also really enjoy, but rather like a very fruity rose jelly with pickled peach blossoms. And this wonderful blend of two velvety notes lasts surprisingly long! The violet is also occasionally detectable, as the scent has a subtly powdery side. There is no trace of patchouli, and nothing vanilla either. The velvety, fruity sweetness remains lovely even after hours, although it tends to increase in sweetness as it dries down.
A fairy-tale fragrance and very unusual!
Thank you, a thousand times, to the noble donor.

Spice Rose
Antalya is located - we all know it - in Turkey! From there also come wonderful Damask roses, but not only those. Turkey is also the land of tulips - they still grow wild there - and the land of Van cats - the almost only breed of cats that is not afraid of water (a big hello to Medüschen and her Van cat crew).

This fragrance around the Damask rose is meant to reflect the beauty of the Turkish garden. Therefore, the scent begins with spices - here cardamom and coriander, while I also notice something juicy and fresh in the top note. It reminds me of ripe, juicy peaches.

And it is this peach note that is still present in the heart note, along with the rose. The rose does not dominate here, but is part of a spicy, fresh, and juicy garden landscape. There is no trace of violets to be found anywhere.

The base is not unlike that of Jardin de Sicile, although there is definitely no honey here, just the residual sweetness of the rose, and that only very faintly.

This fragrance is ideal for those who do not particularly like overly dominant roses. I, as a rose lover, also enjoy it because it comes across so differently than the scents from Les Parfums de Rosine.
Jardin d'Antalya does not want to be a soliflore scent and is not one. The fragrance fits the country it represents: Spicy, Floral, Warm!

Smells like a sticky caffeine drink from the gas station. Very sweet, sugary, gum-like, pink. It can make you (me) feel sick...

Completely disgusting to me. Smells like those nasty Wick cherry cough drops. Brrr...

Weak rosy pleasure, slightly sweet and a bit musty. The scent reminds me more of a mushroom farm than a flower garden in Antalya.

Unfortunately, it's only briefly noticeable to me. More fruity with a nearly grape-sugar-like sweetness. I sadly don't smell any rose or spices.
