A rose bush full of thorns

My third review and, above all, my third review of a Creed.
I was able to smell Fantasia de Fleurs on a test strip at the beginning of the year, which encouraged me to add this fragrance to my collection and buy a bottle. Although it says here that the fragrance is still in production, it is not available online on any known sites in Germany or the surrounding area. What a shame really...because,

Fantasia de Fleurs started with lush roses. Lots of them...hundreds of them. This is how I imagine the smell of rose gardens in Balchik, Bulgaria.
These roses are supported by their thick, strong thorns, which radiate their dominance in the flowerbed. Fitting, because this fragrance is by no means light. If the rumor that Empress Sisi wore this fragrance is true, then it is definitely worthy of an empress.

But if we are already talking about the 18th century, then it should also be mentioned that this fragrance is also "black and white". Not much happens. In my opinion, it could no longer assert itself on the market today.

Powdery iris blossoms are added after about 30 minutes. They support the fragrance and make it elegant and soft. Even though roses and irises have two different fragrance characteristics, they can be sown side by side here.

The rose remains the main protagonist at all times. This could also be the scent of an elderly lady's bedroom as she covers her down comforter with rose patterned sheets. It becomes more velvety and darker by the hour. Olfactorily, it matures on the skin. The rose does not remain as young as it reveals itself to be at the beginning.

This fragrance lasts about 10 hours on my skin. The sillage is moderate but never loud.
For me, a masterpiece of the older Creeds, because it reminds us that it doesn't take 100 things to emphasize value and beauty.
