Cremo fragrances have been on the European market for some time now (a little over 2 years?), but Spice & Black Vanilla was only recently launched for our market. This fragrance was on everyone's lips in the American community a few years ago thanks to YouTube, because 1. it is cheap and 2. it was initially spread that this was supposed to be a Spicebomb Extreme alternative.
After all these years of fragrance addiction, I count myself among the self-proclaimed Spicebomb DNA connoisseurs and I know them all.
Spicebomb has too much pepper that makes me nauseous in the long run,
1899 is too bitter for me on some days because of the juniper,
Rehab becomes too powdery or even powdery for me in the drydown (curiously, it reminds me of gunpowder at the end) and is also too expensive and
Spicebomb Extreme is too cumin-heavy.
Spoiler alert:
Spice and Black Vanilla Eau de Toilette is more along the lines of
Spicebomb.
If I were in the unfortunate position of only being allowed to own one more fall/winter fragrance, I would choose this one. Not because it's particularly complex or reinvents the wheel, but it works... and everywhere without exception! Whether at work, at a fancy dinner or on a cozy Sunday with the family (if Sunday isn't cozy, it will be after you've spritzed yourself with it). Whether with a hoodie, sweater or even a suit, what makes Spice & Black Vanilla so special for me is that I can simply wear it every day without getting sick of it and that makes it my cold-weather Swiss army knife.
