Not a Comparison Review
Performance: On skin that doesn't come in contact with clothes, it lasts 7-8 hours, with the first two hours being a moderate sillage and the remaining hours a skin scent. On skin that comes in contact with clothes, it lasts 4-5 hours, with moderate sillage for the first hour and skin scent for remaining time. On exterior clothes, it lasts 7-9 hours, with moderate sillage for the first 3 hours and then a "clothes" scent for the remaining time. Overall, this fragrance is very sensitive to friction. This scent will rub off in 3 hours if the applied skin comes in contact with clothes or the applied clothes come into contact with other clothes. Also, the last 2-3 of the fragrance's duration is more of a close skin scent than a skin scent.
Scent: This is an airy, creamy, mildly sweet wood fragrance. There is no development to this fragrance. It smells the same at every point of its duration. The primary feeling here is airy-ness. The wood notes are aromatic is a light way, like fresh shavings. And the cardamom note adds a slightly powdery, creamy note, creamy in the way that rice pudding is creamy rather than milk chocolate creamy. This isn't a sweet fragrance, but there's sweetness here, and it really rounds things out quite well. There's no smokiness or astringency from the palo santo and papyrus notes at all. I'm not able to single out the palo santo note from the papyrus notes, so it's unclear what's contributing what, but it is clear that it works.
