Legacy Cristiano Ronaldo 2015 Eau de Toilette

I was testing Legacy the other day and when the girlfriend got home she shouted "and exactly WHY are you smelling like a thirteen year old boy today ??!" - on a positive note, you'll never be accused of smelling like an old man ;-)

In the previous comments, there was often a display of sympathy or antipathy towards Cristiano Ronaldo. Some like him and therefore his legacy more or less. Others, who don't think he's that great, can hardly relate to the scent either. Not everyone, but many.
Well, I tested Legacy without bias, as I neither think positively nor negatively of Ronaldo. Names don't smell.
For me, Legacy is a spicy, woody, and also sexy all-rounder that can be worn on any occasion. Not too sweet or sticky like some other perfumes in the mainstream category. Legacy is also not intrusive, but it is noticeable. Anyone from the age of 25 and up can wear it. However, I can't imagine Legacy on women.
Because it reflects what I envision as masculine, without any ifs or buts. To be honest, I was positively surprised that this scent is practically a "footballer scent." Just a comparison with the fragrances of David Beckham puts the Portuguese far ahead. Because in my opinion, this perfume has indeed made an effort to please and not just to push the brand "CR7." And the current rating of 7.0 seems fully justified to me.

Rooster, princess, actor & con artist,
CR7, you have almost as many names as detractors & scoundrels.

I like you, even if I don't really understand much of your private life,
but on the football field, you are more graceful than a deer.

A legend already in your profession,
alongside Pelé, Messi & the Kaiser on the same level.

But today we’re not talking about the round ball on the green,
your scent is now dancing on our stages.

It couldn't be as bad as the mockery before,
you want to inherit David Beckham in the fragrance score.

And you succeed, with a pleasantly calm blend of elegance & sport,
other celebrity scents seem like olfactory murder in contrast.

Sweet apple meets bright patchouli with class,
for that, other companies reach much deeper into our wallets.

"Legacy" will surely not become a legend,
but in the end, the critics will retreat to difficult terrain.

A mix of better Davidoff, Boss & "Unforgivable" by Diddy,
scents from Zlatan, Messi or even Becks seem quite shiddy in comparison.

Not only on the field does this pleasantly sparkling modern scent make a good impression,
even casual or in a suit, you never stand alone in the open field with it.

Sexy, that was a must for your scent,
and it succeeded, completely without gel & slimy airhead.

Well-groomed, youthful & fresh out the shower,
this scent is like Axe would like to be, plus it has power.

Even if it will soon be offered at a discount,
you don't have junk or trash tattooed on you.

Your longevity alone survives only 2 games in a row,
surely no one cares, especially not your beloved.

An apple-prosecco on a bright patchouli base,
for that, I can only praise you in the end.

I could even imagine that you wear it yourself & had a say in it,
because this scent is surely one more reason why the world no longer hates you so much.

So, here I am sitting and I have tested it after all. True to the motto "what do I care about my ramblings from yesterday." As luck would have it... what did I receive as a supplement to my recently acquired fragrance... Bingo... Legacy! :)

Christiano Ronaldo polarizes and markets himself like no other in the football business. Personally, I do not like his way of presenting himself on the football field, and I am sure he would be even more successful (on the field) if he focused solely on the game. However, that is just my own feeling about the namesake of Legacy and an extremely successful and good footballer. In private, he may certainly be a nice guy, but unfortunately, very few of us will find that out, which brings me to Legacy. Do we at least know how he smells now? :)

I can't say anything about the bottle, as this was just a sample. The pictures of the bottle do not excite me at all.

What do I expect from the fragrance? Well, should it embody the qualities we know of CR7 from the outside (very present, special and unique style, polarizing)? Perhaps even elegant, when on the way to an away game? :) Those who have the courage to grit their teeth and watch the promotional video will also experience the perfect world here. So, in terms of marketing, it doesn't really stand out from other mainstream fragrances. Only the prominent face is different.

Apple, cinnamon, and lavender in the top note I perceive only as fresh and sweet, without being sticky. Bergamot with a hint of lavender. The fragrance never comes off as musty. I don't smell any apple here, and cinnamon will probably account for the sweetness that runs completely through the fragrance. However, cinnamon is not predominantly present in Legacy for me.
After a very short time, warmer accords, slightly woody notes, and perhaps a hint of rosemary and sage join in (let's categorize it under slightly spicy)... so, I have to write relatively quickly, as it wants to crawl back on my arm again. The fragrance is very suitable for everyday wear, nice and pleasant. It remains warm, sweet, and elegant on the skin. My problem with Legacy is the longevity and the sillage. In search of the nonexistent sillage, the corresponding book title would probably be. My surroundings had to press their noses to my arm after a very short time (about 1h) to perceive something. What you smell is not bad... you just have to get that far :).. On paper, the test strip can be used for a new fragrance after a maximum of 4h. I really don't have to think too much about longevity anymore. If I don't really perceive the fragrance from the beginning, it will eventually just disappear.

Anyone looking for a broad-shouldered cowboy here will be disappointed. Perhaps it is the private side of Mr. CR7 that the fragrance wants to embody? Reserved with good taste? Someone you simply get along well with?

Unfortunately, I cannot give the fragrance a Flacon d'Or, as it simply runs out of steam too quickly.
