Writer Cyrus 2017

Many thanks to Carsten for this great gift :-) After I was already impressed by the Modest Une bottle, I received the Writer bottle as a gift, as it is supposed to be an even better alternative to Sauvage Eau de Toilette and Sauvage Eau de Parfum. And I can absolutely agree with that, I am really thrilled and happy to have this bottle in my collection :-) In addition, the longevity of well over 12 hours is great and the sillage is also very successful.

The top note starts beautifully fresh, maritime, fruity and citrusy with aromas of green apple, lemons, mandarins and bergamot. In the heart note, elemi resin and ambroxan provide spicy and peppery notes that underpin the citrus. Although the ambrox adds a certain synthetic quality, I still find it pleasant. Floral aromas of lavender and rose geranium also resonate. The base remains wonderfully fruity. It also smells slightly sweet and vanilla-like with ambergris.

If you think Dior Sauvage is great but too expensive, this is a really brilliant and inexpensive alternative. I'm pretty thrilled :-)
