The closer the better

When it comes to The One EdP, the conclusion is usually "Great fragrance, but poor durability".
As this vague statement doesn't do the fragrance justice in my opinion, I'll just add my two cents:

Probably the most striking fragrance note is the orange, which remains present from start to finish and gives the fragrance its "uniqueness". In combination with the cardamom and tobacco, you get a fruity, sour but also warm note that is very appealing and certainly very suitable for the masses.

But now to the most controversial point about this fragrance and the main reason for this review.
I have the feeling that in very many cases, durability and sillage/projection are either confused or equated.

In my opinion, the high criticism regarding the durability is not justified.
Compared to The One EdT, the EdP takes a big step in the right direction.
Of course, The One EdP is worlds away from being a beastmode fragrance. However, I can only disagree with the claims that it only lasts 1-2 hours.
6+ hours on the skin is quite realistic (even without wild overspraying with 10+ sprays).

However, where the criticism is appropriate (and this is the only place it belongs in my opinion) is the sillage or projection.
Shortly after spraying on, the fragrance radiates solidly for the first half hour. After just one hour, however, it develops into a skin scent that can only be perceived from very close up. This is precisely where the abundant criticism of the performance comes from.

So what do we learn from this?
If you are looking for a loud fragrance in The One EdP that will make you stand out and is suitable for evenings in clubs and bars, you will clearly be disappointed. The lack of projection ensures that you will not be noticed. There are much better alternatives here.

However, if you use it in a suitable area of application, it can be quite convincing. This is for relaxed/quiet evenings, dates etc. where you leave a small scent in your nose every now and then as you walk past the other person, which invites the other person to come closer each time. The other person is not harassed by a persistent cloud of fragrance, which is a clear advantage in this area of application. Clearly intended for physical proximity/body contact and in my opinion a really reliable and pleasing choice!
