NOT The One for me

I bought this fragrance expecting big things but instead it was a letdown. Another EDP that performs like an EDC. It's not my skin either because i have plenty of fragrances that last all day but this one surely does not. With a price tag being well over $100 you would think that it would perform better but I guess they need all that money to pay for the bottle the advertisement and the name. That's how these big designer houses get you that's why bigger isn't always better. I'm not even that crazy about the scent itself I mean yes it is warm and it is spicy and it has lots of heavy notes but it just doesn't perform I do smell it the backhoe I could smell the ginger along with the Amber in the end but I thought I would get at least 10 or 12 hours minimum with this fragrance. Maybe I got a bad bottle I don't know all I know is it's a big letdown Dolce and Gabbana you are not the one for me.

Modern masterpiece!!

The best scent I've ever smelled, classy, refined, masculine and intense.

I don't care about if performance bad or not, the way it smells. The One EDP is easily the most decent offering from D&G in recent history in the men's perfume.

Masterclass from Olivier Polge to mix great notes like Amber, tobacco, ginger, grapefruit & Cardamom and create a scent like this one. CHAPEAU.

Outstanding, but it May Not be The One for You

When I started looking into fragrance, one fragrance that women recommended consistently was Dolce & Gabanna's The One.

After reading online reviews from several fragrance sites (including Parfumo), I took a shot in the dark and bought it blind.

The One EdP is an excellent blend of spices, woods, and amber. Overall, it hits the mark on the spices to where it's sensual, and not gourmand-ish. It also hits the mark on being resinous and woody, without being overly sweet.

If you are into spicy scents, or woody/resinous notes in a fragrance, The One EDP is an outstanding scent.

Despite the outstanding smell, the biggest complaint about The One EDP is performance.

The sillage and projection are mild, which is great for intimate moments. However, someone trying to seek attention at a bar or nightclub would find this unacceptable.

However, the bigger point of critique is the lack of longevity. The One EDP only lasts a maximum of 4-6 hours.

In my opinion, The One EDP is an exceptional fragrance that is perfect for a date night, or an intimate encounter. The lack of sillage also makes it workable as a daily scent in cooler weather, and not obnoxious in warmer weather.

That said, if you are looking for an enduring fragrance to wear for an all-night affair, or a fragrance to draw attention, look elsewhere; The One EDP isn't for you.

However, at the price range of discounters, The One EDP is a steal if the scent profile fits your style, and is an excellent option for a beginner.

abysmal performance

incredible scent, but my god, the performance is like the limpest dick in the world. i get BARELY 1 hour with 6 sprays. This is essentially water with a tiny bit of perfume oil in it. The whole “this is a date night fragrance, it’s not supposed to be loud” is a lousy excuse from D&G fanboys high on copium.

idk how D&G thinks this is okay. Only buy this if you're okay with having to reapply heavily every couple hours with a travel atomizer.
