A somewhat overly spicy rose
After reading the consistently positive reviews on Parfumo about this fragrance, I was intrigued and wanted to find out if there was any truth to the praise.
Well, what can I say: the hype doesn't really get through to me. The fragrance starts off spicy and fresh, accompanied by a pleasant rose. At first, I thought it was a really nice fragrance - just as the numerous reviews have already described.
After a while, however, the fragrance developed in a completely different direction on my skin: the initially pleasantly spicy rose became more and more intense on my skin. It even goes so far that my nose starts to burn due to the extremely strong spiciness.
On my skin, the fragrance completely overdrives, so that at some point it became so unbearable that I had to wash it off again.
I don't even find the rose annoying. It's the spiciness that I find unbalanced and pungent.
In the end, I swapped Domenico Caraceni Eau de Parfum for another perfume in the souk.
