Weak Beauty

I can basically agree with the comment from Jpg153. I also received this fragrance unexpectedly (thanks to noirceur) and tried it out without any specific expectations. I actually quite like this fig tree note; I enjoy wearing this scent very much. However, describing its further development is difficult for me, as Bois de Figuier is really unusually fleeting, juicy, and lacking in strength. One would expect more substance from a liquid that calls itself Eau de Toilette. Nevertheless, I rate this fragrance favorably at 70%, because it actually has the potential to be a really beautiful, soft, slightly floral scent - by the way, not just for men.

1, 2, 3 in a flash...

I had only experienced the "Spiced Absinth" from Durance en Provence before.
It wasn't a bad scent, but its longevity and projection left a lot to be desired.
"Fig Tree Wood Men" came in an unexpected fragrance package from Oloroso; just like "Spiced Absinth" before it - Thank you for that.

The fig or fig tree has given the perfume its name.
And so the test begins with a fruity and fresh fig note. I would lean more towards fig and fig leaf here, as it smells very much of fruit and less of leaf green.
This opening reminds me of "Vetiver Fatal" by Atelier Cologne, but it is calmer, less sweet, and without the underlying bitter notes found there. I quite like it.

Unfortunately, "Fig Tree Wood Men" has a weak projection right from the start. I had to apply quite a bit to perceive the fig note without having my nose glued to my skin. However, the scent retreats to the skin after just half an hour, and the fig also bids farewell quite quickly.
What remains on the skin for the next 3-4 hours is a hint of light, bright woods.

After that, it's definitely the end of the scent.
