Since no ingredients are listed, I will speculate about what I smell:
A somewhat old-fashioned floral-oriental chypre begins to scent upon application, as far as I can guess in comparison. There is an interesting progression. "Bois de Rose" then becomes beautiful, gentle. A pleasant green herbaceousness seems to emerge and envelops a mysterious rose along with other flowers that cannot be individually identified. Mimosa and heliotrope perhaps? It develops into a rounded full scent, without overwhelming sweetness. Only a lovely rose clings to the green herbaceousness. Then "Bois de Rose" transforms into something citrusy, and aldehydes continue to come into play, somewhat soapy, creamy? Subsequently, there is a phase in which the scent overall becomes weaker and aquatic. This clears the way for some spices and herbs, perhaps vanilla or tonka as well.
Musk and patchouli have - I assume - been largely omitted, which I find very pleasant.
As the scent settles, I smell an enriched, multifaceted full, balanced fragrance. All ingredients are subdued and exude a harmonious, creamy, and skin-close scent.
