Sweet Girl's Scent
Musc et Freesia is not a freesia scent. The scent of freesia is really hard to capture, so it doesn't surprise me that I can hardly detect any freesia in this fragrance. But what I can detect is a very beautiful, floral musk scent, in which the light raspberry green dominates for me. It is a non-fruity and unsweet raspberry, like I have never smelled before. The raspberry green occasionally has a slightly fizzy quality, but the musk skillfully balances that out, it powders it down. And the wonderful thing about this fragrance is that I can perceive it even though it is only an EdT, meaning after the harsh sillage disappointment of Forever and Ever by Dior, I have not lost faith in fine, floral EdTs, but rather regained it with this scent.
Musc et Freesia smells so light, so delicate, so fine, and sooo feminine (not sexy!!!). While it doesn't smell like freesias, at least it has fully captured the essence of a freesia lover here (me).
Who does this scent suit? I imagine this to be the scent of a fairy tale princess. Ah, how lovely!

Secret Longing
After I ordered samples of all the fragrances from Coudray, I, of course, tried them all. I ordered Jacinthe et Rose first and regretted not ordering Musc et Freesia at the same time. I will definitely be ordering this fragrance as well.

From the very first moment, I was fascinated by the bottles from Coudray - they are identical for all perfumes. Only the labeling changes, as well as the content and its color.

While Jacinthe et Rose has a light peach hue, Musc et Freesia is beautifully rosy.

I never realized how wonderfully Freesias can smell. The combination with musk is unique for me. This fresh, vibrant, and light quality of the freesia is intertwined with the warmth and tenderness of musk.

I admit, I am a fan of Coudray. Therefore, I also own Jacinthe et Rose, Coco & Vanille, and Givrine. Givrine is clearly the freshest and lightest Coudray fragrance.

The fragrances are not cheap, but they are largely of natural origin, and I can feel the love for scent that goes into making them all. I am very happy that I discovered Coudray for myself.
----------
Addendum June 5, 2011: However, at nearly 30°, I had to realize today that this is not a summer fragrance. At these temperatures, the beautiful freesia is simply suffocated by the musk, so be careful not to wear it above 20°.

Golden Brown
Today is a golden brown autumn day.

The colors no longer shine - they glow warmly from within.

A day to tilt your heart just a little and share it with a trusted person - because the days are getting shorter - but the thoughts are getting longer.
I am not alone in this, as I have already received thoughtful, melancholic messages from dear people.

I call up "Golden Brown" by the Stranglers on YouTube and send the music back with the beautiful autumn video.
Music sometimes says more than a thousand words.

To this, I dig out the delightful Coudray bottle, which somehow fits the 80s music, filled with the golden brown liquid.

The mild autumn sun is reflected by the aromatic raspberry leaf - brightened by delicate freesia and full peony.
Autumnal also appears the softly bitter cyclamen, illuminated by golden musk.
The sweet lily adds a slightly sentimental nuance, caught by woodiness, with a bright noble leather note.

A mood-enhancing fragrance that lightly surrounds me - like an autumn sonata.

Never a frown - with Golden Brown.

The base is it
Musc et Freesia is a pretty scent, unfortunately nothing more.
Although I am a fan of floral scents and musk, I wouldn't buy this one.

It is too simple for me and not refined enough. It starts off aldehydic and artificial, which I do not like.

A bit sweet, a bit powdery, a bit musky, a little bit of everything, at least in the top and heart notes.

In the base, I like it better when the slightly fruity floral notes recede and darker notes emerge. The woody note is very nice, especially since I usually do not like wood. A fine leather note also makes itself noticeable. Here it fits well and harmoniously enhances the scent.
The musk remains ever present.

Yes, actually a nice scent, if only it consisted solely of the base, but the artificial undertone at the beginning bothers me quite a bit.

Super Soft Touch
First of all, about the bottle: such gracefulness is rare. Without any frills or gimmicks, simply good to hold in the hand with minimal decoration at the top.

I was at Vollmar to actually find a freesia scent. Unfortunately, they don’t carry Diptyque, as I had Ofrésia in mind. But Coudray is not bad either. A quick compliment to the very nice saleswoman at Vollmar. You are really left in peace, can browse at your leisure, sniff around, and only when there is direct eye contact is a friendly inquiry made if you need help. Very pleasant!! And this despite the fact that I was there today in my old, tattered leather jacket and with a grandma shopping cart (but in pink) :-)

Now to the scent. Musc et freesia. On the test strip, I could hardly perceive it, so I put it on my hand. Here it is also hardly detectable, more like a mist of completely transparent flowers, and the typical freesia note doesn’t come through at all. Very softly floral. Hardly musky. Over time, the musk becomes a bit richer, but not sweet, just pleasant with a hint of wood. Unfortunately, still no freesia. I have never smelled such an ethereal, delicate scent. It’s not that it’s not there at all. I just have to make an effort to catch it olfactorily. It is there very close to the skin. How it affects the surroundings, I cannot yet say, as I am not running around waving my hand. But, if all scents from Coudray are this super-soft, it’s a thing for little fairies, not for rowdy grandmas like me.
However, I will have to dedicate myself to the brand more intensively. My interest has definitely been piqued.

Elegant-floral powder scent. Charming and well-groomed. But it feels a bit distant and outdated to me.

Raspberry leaf and freesias, sweet, elegant, and even refreshing. The musk just rounds it off. A genius scent with an extreme addictive factor.

Delicate floral powder cascades into the huge vat of clean musk. In the DD, woody musk cream. Well-groomed - bingo. Retro musk overload.

Strong white floral opening, animalistic, slightly carrion-like, settles into a powdery balanced strong floral scent, woody creamy finish.

Sweet girl
Wearing an old-fashioned braided hairstyle
Carrying flowers in her arm
And running across a dove-netted alpine meadow
Retro-powdery-beautiful. Like Heidi.
