Fruity, almost overripe and suddenly there is a total change
Astrum Nova is one of those fragrances where I'm not quite sure what to make of it exactly.
On the one hand, I like it, on the other, somehow not so much.
Difficult! It's also one of those fragrances that, in my opinion, you should definitely test beforehand. Often, despite the high prices, some blind purchases are made.
Here I would rather advise against it.
In any case, the fragrance starts off superficially fruity.
The mango in particular comes into its own here. Quite synthetic, which is what fruity notes are all about and at the same time the mango seems very ripe.
Almost too ripe, in fact.
There are also other fruity notes and some bergamot. The bergamot tries to offset this fruity sweetness a little with its slightly "tart" freshness. But it doesn't quite manage it.
Over time, the fragrance then changes quite a bit. You can feel how the fruity notes fade more and more into the background and eventually disappear completely. A mix of musk, tonka bean, a little oud, vanilla and a kind of amber take over completely.
It also feels creamy and woody.
Firstly, you have to like fruity fragrances here, fruity notes that are almost overripe and secondly, you have to like this total change, because the fruity notes are almost suddenly completely gone.
The fragrance lasts around 7-8 hours on my skin. The sillage is also totally solid to good.
Astrum Nova is also definitely super wearable unisex.
