Fresh, sweet, romantic, gardenia, queen!
The green notes are so strong, refreshing, greät to have it combined with the actual flower, adding realism. The bottle is magnificent, just as a gardenia's bush growing shape, the gold nozzle like the flower's center. This perfume is just so glorious, and special for those who love the flower and cultivate it in their garden. Elizabeth loved it too branding it, ''one of her most personal fragrances'', and saying it would evoke blissful feelings, ''something wonderful is about to happen''. That was the advertisement campaign, I love it, and feel wonderful too. The fragrance comes at a kind price, which makes it such a blessing.

Gardenia With A Twist Of Musk
I'm not usually a floral fan, but I purchased this for my daughter-in-law for the holidays. She told me she loves gardenias and I thought I'd give this perfume to her to try. After opening it, we both spritzed it on to give it a whirl. What a pleasant surprise!
She immediately remarked that her former perfume was a Bath and Body Works gardenia that she eventually used in her bathroom because it just wasn't doing it for her. This gardenia was a sweet, musky scent with a tawdry aspect to it. Yes, it was clean, yet it had a naughty aspect to it. The thickness of the musk surrounded the florals enough to give this perfume depth and a sensuality. One spritz lasted a good six hours. In today's world of come and go longevity, this Eau de Parfum is a winner.
The bottle is quite pretty, a tall green glass with a white floral top. Holds easily in your hand for spraying.
If you're looking for gardenia with a twist of sexiness, Elizabeth Taylor's Gardenia is a good one to try. Sillage is a good arm's length, so spray cautiously. Gardenia is a good floral choice for a dinner out, a romantic evening or cooler weather.

Blooming gardenia trees in elven forest
Spring is almost in the air this week in March and I finally reached for the gorgeous green bottle of Gardenia perfume. I put it on and I am sitting in a relaxing glow of the waxy white petals and southern tree vibes. It’s one of the most realistic true gardenia perfumes I have tried and I am not trading it for any that are more expensive. It’s my secret and a true emerald gem and a steal. I smell a mix of magnolia and gardenia blooms when I put it on. It’s magical and uplifting. It takes you to the faraway lands of the enchanting forest of Lothlorien and you smell elven - perhaps how Lady Galadriel herself might.

Love the bottle design - not a fan of the scent
I'm a huge fan of gardenia fragrances, but it's hard to find a beautiful gardenia fragrance blend - and this wasn't it. I bought it brand new in a sealed box from Ross, so I know my experience wasn't from someone storing this improperly but rather the blend itself. To me, it's:

Opening: strong women's hairspray
Middle: creamy gardenia
Dry down: stale greenery that almost resembles stale morning breath (sounds harsh but that's exactly what it smells like)

Florence Eau de Parfum has the creamy gardenia + fresh greenery without any "stale breath" notes, and no "hairspray" notes either - so I definitely prefer that over this.

A stunning, affordable gardenia!
Within the opening sequence of Gardenia, I'm stricken by an unanticipated sweet element encased within it's soapiness that I did not expect! Were I to personify it (I'm fond of doing this with perfumes), I would say it feels elegant (much moreso than the affordable price I payed for it would hint toward), but entirely approachable and kind hearted. This is not cold, austere or dry. Not at all. I immediately feel soothed in it's presence.

Good. Very, very good. This is what I need in life.

As a couple of hours pass, the creamy, nearly coconutty angles become steadily more apparent. I suspected to get along with this because I adore some other gardenia-laden perfumes, but admittedly this is going even better than anticipated. I was hoping that this wouldn't blast down the street in my stead, and it doesn't (at least not while modestly sprayed) because I already own Alien as my nuclear white floral option, and I don't want/need another. It's far from that level of intensity, but...does remain stubbornly present on the skin. Again, very, very good. I need this kind of thing in my life.

What really surprises me though, is how this nearly turns into a tuberose as it dries further and further. This is absolutely no criticism, because I'm a tuberose lover as well...but it's plush, a little waxy, sweet...ang again, verging on coconutty. The lines between the two florals are sometimes thinner than we realize, as is the case here. In the right air, from a distance, it would pass as tuberose.

I'm trying this in November, which is the stark opposite time of year that this evokes to me. This is 100% (IMO) a late March-early April morning.

I've hoped to find this for a couple of years now, but figured I would someday. Someday arrived today, and I'm very grateful. You don't need to drop major coin to smell incredibly beautiful, I applaud this cheapy!

Clean and green yet still with bubblegum-like sweetness. Of the several gardenia species, this one's surely the overripe sun-kissed one.

Exactly what it says on the tin (er, bottle) - a heady, perfect gardenia. Excellent for the first warm days of spring.

The only fragrance I've smelled in the last year that upset my stomach. It's too bad, because it accurate and lovely.

It clearly polarizes: I smell a one-note gardenia, not too synthetic, but hairspray-aldehydic. Use it sparingly!

A great "wow" scent. But please test it carefully: If you can't handle it, it'll knock you off your feet ;-)

Clear, floral, fresh, then softly seductive! One of the most beautiful gardenia scents I've ever tried. Unbeatable for the price!

Juicy green, tuberose-like gardenia. Initially a bit artificial in the cold. It doesn't get greener, but in the heat, it becomes creamier. Absolutely great in summer.
