Green Iced Tea in the Garden at 30 Degrees
I am surprised that this fragrance still has no review, as I have really liked it since it moved in with me two years ago. Perhaps it is fitting that this will also be my first review.
Fresh and above all: Green, green, green, so it feels like everything that is green is saying to me in the opening, "Good day, here I am!" You can't get around the word "green" in the description.
For me, tea and freshness in the form of cool mint and slightly smokier oolong tea aromas are very dominant. When I spray it on, I have the association of sitting on a hot summer day in the shade of a citrus tree with almost ripe citrus fruits, drinking wonderfully cold, not too sweet iced tea, garnished with a mint leaf.
I can wear it always from 20 - 25 degrees. Below that, it is too fresh for me. When it is warm enough, it fits every occasion and is also subtle enough for the office. My aha moment was on vacation in Samui at over 30 degrees. It becomes really strong then. A bit rounder and softer - I would almost say it becomes creamier, knowing full well that it is quite far from creamy. I lack the words to describe it properly, but I simply find it even better then.
I see it as absolutely unisex wearable and it was for me the alternative to Wūlóng Chá and Imagination. The three somehow belong to the same "clique"; the one from Ella K perhaps has a few more little edges and offers me a bit more freshness power in the opening than the other two (here I think of the ???, where Wulong-Cha corresponds to Justus Jonas, Imagination to the sporty Peter Shaw, and the Poeme de Sagano for Bob Andrews, the bookworm with the great voice).
I have no external assessment on the sillage. For me, it is well noticeable with five sprays. Unfortunately - and this is the only downside - only for 2-4 hours. At least in summer temperatures. If it is cooler, it lasts longer. So in summer, it means: refill and spray more often.
With the original pricing, frequent reapplication hurts a bit. Finding the bottle on sale, knowing that the use is so to speak seasonally limited and that the bottle is 100 ml, still makes it a lot of fun for me!
Conclusion: An unconventional fresh fragrance for the hottest days, which for me is inseparably linked to summer vacation and perhaps serves as an alternative to Wulong-Cha or Imagination for others.
