I became aware of L'Oriental back then because I generally find oriental notes in perfumes very interesting, and I often enjoy wearing them.
I also tested "Attar Al Mohabba Male" by Rasasi, and even bought it, because it is a really great, somewhat more natural version of 1 Million, a version that can be worn without reminding one too much of that "disco bro" flair. This cheap commercial attitude that 1 Million definitely has in the top notes.
L'Oriental has little in common with 1 Million, but it still strongly reminds me of Attar Al Mohabba Male. Only L'Oriental comes across as a bit sweeter and slightly gourmand, while still retaining its naturalness better, or at least not coming off as plasticky like Paco Rabanne's protégé.
As a result, it is easy to wear and hardly annoying, although not very unique or standout. But it smells pleasant, to say even somewhat sensual. A delicate mainstream oriental for cuddling or simply for everyday wear, with which one can secretly celebrate their oriental preference without drawing unpleasant attention in public or making too much of a statement.
Longevity and projection are average, which ensures good dosability - not insignificant for a (semi) oriental.
