In the Zen garden

First of all, I have to say that I'm glad that the fragrance has matured in my home. Because when I bought it about 3 months ago (I hadn't tested it before), it smelled like sweat after spraying it on, as crazy as that sounds. And I thought well, that was probably not a successful blind buy. Then I left it for the time being and only sprayed it on again yesterday and fortunately this sweaty note is no longer there. FYI: this is a natural perfume or cologne, and they usually mature and change a little, some more, some less.
The cologne starts off sweet and fruity, reminding me a little of the sweet fruit chewing gums of the past. After about 10 minutes it becomes "somehow flowery". I can't clearly smell the listed flowers. The whole thing smells a bit dull. It stays that way for now. But after about 30 minutes, the fragrance gets a little more depth and no longer smells quite so dull and "dusty". I like it better now. Yes, with a lot of imagination I could smell matcha tea and a bamboo note. The longer the fragrance is on my skin, the more I like it.
Perhaps the fragrance was designed to help the user calm down a little. I could well imagine that, because that's the vibe it gives off. Maybe that's why it would be good for going to sleep on warm summer nights, for example. I will give it a try.
I would definitely like the fragrance better in an EdT or EdP version, but it's only available as a cologne. Unfortunately, it lacks volume.
I find Tokyo Sling quite pretty, it's something different for warm days, but it doesn't knock my socks off, so it wouldn't be a repeat purchase candidate for me. I will definitely use up the 15ml bottle this spring/summer.
