Love to hate you
So there it is, Jeremy's long-awaited first fragrance. And at least as long one could look forward to the exchange of blows between Fanboys and Hatern. Popcorn and beer were well prepared in time and I was not disappointed.

I myself was so interested in the perfume that I wanted to test it early, but again not interested enough to buy it blind. I enjoyed watching Jeremy's videos for a long time until it became too stupid for me in several respects, especially this fragrancearmy with slightly sectarian fanatic tendencies. Nevertheless, or perhaps precisely because of this, I dare to look at the product separately from the person and evaluate it for myself.

What I don't understand is Why good Jeremy is being convicted for his guerrilla marketing. I mean, honestly, guys. Anyone who has even studied him a little knows that he certainly does not intend to become the mother Theresa of the perfume industry. He also wants to be financially big and I don't find that reprehensible at first. Besides, rattling's always been a craft. Almost all successful people are also self-promoters to a certain degree. And none of us would advertise his product as mediocre. In this respect, he did everything right from an entrepreneurial point of view. You can let that stand for itself.

What I understand is,
Why good Jeremy is being convicted for his guerrilla marketing. I mean, honestly, guys. If you present yourself as part of the perfume community, you shouldn't be surprised if the whole thing is exposed as cash-cow with the now offered price-performance ratio. And if you then mutate into a grandmaster of superlatives, then you have to be measured by your words. The expectations of "the best juice", "the best sprayer" and "unique" have obviously not been fulfilled. Probably this was not really to be fulfilled in such a simple and moving way. But he's to blame for that himself. You can let that stand for itself.

What I smell and rate:
A solid substance, which was to be expected from Alberto Morillas. To be mass appealing, one should orientate oneself to the mass for simplicity's sake. Nothing worse has happened here. The result is a good mashup from the usual suspects. Fruit freshness with reference to Bleu, Dylan and Co. pepper and Ambroxan from the Sauvage corner. Somewhat synthaquatic Gió freshness and overpowdered with minimal iris. So far so good and done nothing wrong. Reinventing the wheel would have been risky. That's why I didn't expect you to. Personally, I'm not bothered until the last third. Because the admittedly excellent durability is probably achieved with an overdose of artificial wood. I'd compare it to Artisan Pure, only in annoyance. I also see parallels to Oudh al Misk, where a similar woodiness has also spoiled my scent years ago. I like "long lasting", but this is rather long annoying.

What I infer from that is:
Office One is by far not as bad as he is spoken here. And it's even less worth the hype they're making about it. The fragrance is good and solid, no more and no less. When the trench warfare has calmed down, he will probably settle down somewhere around 7.5, where he is then also correctly classified from my point of view. At least in this forum, whose level fortunately lies clearly above pantydroppenden ladies reactions. It is not a purchase candidate for me, because I do not want to accept this long and annoying end for endurance. Especially in relation to the price there are a lot of better, alternative options, which I would prefer. Even if they don't last that long.

More resentment than evaluation
I am a very positive person, yet I have to write my second commentary in one piece, for a rather negative reason, because I think that some scents are wrongly done here. I know, it doesn't matter, wear whatever you like and you're done. I'll do that. Nevertheless I would like to say something about this.

In the beginning: I'm not a fanboy of good Jeremy, to be honest, currently rather the opposite, because the interest to perfumes comes across a bit too emotionless to me. But that has nothing to do with here.
I think it's a pity that many fragrances, including this one, are judged very subjectively and personally. Whether you like Jeremy or not is up to you and I understand both sides. Granted, he was a great influence that brought me closer to perfume and I am grateful for that. The videos were simply entertaining back then. On the other hand, I first have to make friends with the idea that he is not a true representative of the passion for perfumes, but a businessman. Whatever you think about this topic, he seems to have done quite a bit right, considering what he has achieved.

Since I knew the price, I knew I wouldn't buy the fragrance. However, I've been looking for a simple office and everyday fragrance for a long time that you can always use without thinking about what you're spraying on. After a few considerations, you should choose between Reflection Man and Office for Men. I thought I already knew that I had chosen the Reflection Man anyway, but after a few opinions from my close friends and family, the result was more than clear in a direct comparison Yeah, I know, a lot of them are "laymen" who don't do much with scents. But in the end over 95% of the people who walk around out there smelling our beautiful scents are "laymen". As far as the selection of an everyday fragrance is concerned, I give a lot to these opinions.

As I have said before, perfume is an extremely subjective subject and there is no right or wrong. What I don't understand, however, is how can a fragrance like this be badly talked about because it is a mixture of Aventus / Bleu de Chanel / Sauvage and other things, but at the same time it is rated significantly worse than an Explorer, which is also nothing else? Additionally there are over 40 ratings between 0 and 4, which is really underground but totally ok, if someone perceives it that way. But then how these persons have completely contradictory rated an Aventus with 9-10 and indicate as signature scent... that is simply envy.
The "scent" rating is often completely misinterpreted here and a number of other factors are taken into account, be it price, Jeremy's whims or anything else.

A few words about the Office for Men itself. To those who absolutely don't want to treat Jeremy to anything at all, please briefly imagine that the scent was released by another random house and I'm sure we'll come to a green path. So, for once, completely unbiased and without expectations. It starts very fresh and becomes woody with time, the whole thing with a shelf life of about 8 hours. That's about it. It isn't more, but it isn't less. He is certainly not groundbreaking, nor is he anything new. But it should never be, and that was clear from the beginning.
For my part, I can only claim that I have never had a fresh fragrance with such a long shelf life on my skin, which is quite an important criterion as an everyday fragrance.
You can read through the comments here and you will see that only those who express criticism receive many trophies and approval. Accordingly, I know what I'm doing well, but if only one or two of you, based on my comment, consider the matter a little more fairly from above, it has already been worth it.

Hard to rate
So first I want to get rid of the fact that I'm a fan of Jeremy.
His aim is simply to smell good, to get compliments and attention and to be more attractive for girls. Even though many perfumers here may consider a perfume to be "art" and rate it accordingly (which is probably why the Hate is for Jeremy), I'm probably not alone when I wear fragrances mainly for the above reasons.
Jeremy had been raving continuously about his perfume: "Long lasting", "Unique" and "Mass apealing" should be it. "Maximum Compliment Factor" is on his website. "Best bottle", "Best sprayer", "Best name" and so on. Of course you have high expectations with such tones.

This morning the DHL messenger finally arrived and I could test the long-awaited scent.
My first impression:
The bottle and design are already the lowest drugstore shelf, it really looks so unbelievably cheap. The spray head is protected by a piece of cardboard, because the expensive perfume does not have a lid. There is absolutely nothing else included in the delivery, maybe a signed letter of thanks would have done well. What I also find bold on the side is that Jeremy asked for 10€ shipping for such a tiny package. But no matter how Jeremy used to say it: It depends on the juice inside.

So first on the backhand, spray the stuff. Smells very fresh, very masculine woody, doesn't knock you off your seat, but I like it, Mass Apealing is 100%. What strikes me as particularly positive is that it smells exactly as Jeremy described it. After CEO/Buisinessman, but not after a serious but after a Leonardo DiCaprio in Wolf of Wallstreet. The description "Alpha in the Office" by Jeremy is really shockingly accurate. For the suitable description there is first of all praise.
Just like for the Sillage, which isn't too blatant and obtrusive (on Bleu de Chanel level), but as soon as someone comes close he will perceive the scent. In my opinion this goes very well with a "Compliment getter", which is also an office fragrance.
The durability is also the madness, how long exactly I must still test this and will update here. But even the top note has vanished after 2h.

So he has a lot of appeal and durability, but he is not unique at all with the best will in the world. You only have to look at the pyramid of scents, because that's exactly how it smells, thrown together. Simple description: Smells like a teenager sitting next to one in the lane. After typical new modern fragrance DNA. Personally, he directly reminded me of a milder Dior Sauvage. "Uniqueness" promise was unfortunately not fulfilled here. If you want even a hint of a creative, daring or artistic fragrance, you are completely wrong with Office for men.

Of course all Jeremy fans here have only one question. Namely after the Ladys-Reactions or after the compliments. I will investigate this in the near future and update the durability here as well. Unlike Jeremy, I want more than 3 women to just sniff the top note on paper, so be as excited as me :)
For now, I hope you liked the description of my first impression and that it helped.

A reckoning with Mr. Fragrance
Hi guys,
this is my first comment here, until now I was only a "fellow reader" :) By the whole hype around the smell I feel however already almost forced to become active here also times :)

First of all to the topic Jeremy: I discovered him about 1 1/2 years ago on YouTube and found the format of the videos really great. As the cool womanizer from next door, he also seemed really likeable and on his recommendation I bought about 10 fragrances over time; Aventus, Aqva Amara and as they are all called, have not regretted any purchase.

His newer videos, however, after the "image change", I hardly watch any more, it seems to me as if he recommends every day different "top fragrances" and the number of all perfumes on the market that he has not yet recommended is far shorter than the list of his previous recommendations. In addition, I simply do not like the newer recommendations à la Jaguar Pace etc. well. Some of you may remember that about a year ago he made a video in which he said he wanted to give up YouTube because he now found the best fragrances and nothing would change so quickly because the number of really good new releases per year is very low; I fully agree. I also found his earlier approach of only recommending fragrances that ladies also like interesting. In my opinion he only recommends ordinary stuff and scents that he describes as "artistically very valuable", such as Tom Ford Oud Wood, in front of which the ladies are tearing in droves. Sorry, not what I came to appreciate Mr. Fragrance for. Another channel on YouTube that grew up with real content and is now only commercial. You already know it from other channels, like AlphaM, which are only advertising videos. Maybe some of you will look similar...

But now a first impression of the fragrance and this part becomes much shorter. I try to see the fragrance as differentiated as possible because it doesn't matter to me what the bottle looks like or what brand it says. First impression: Pure synthetics stings me, reminds me of Molecule 01. Ambroxan and bergamot, à la Sauvage quickly join and the patchouli comes out clearly. In a nutshell: A mixture of Aqua di Gio and Sauvage plus a priese Molecule 01, ready!

Not really bad, it'll last a long time; I still don't really like it, it's more synthetic than Bleu de Chanel or even Sauvage. I'm not saying that he doesn't have uniqueness, but all this synthetics is just turn away for me. I will see in the next days how the ladies like him, but for the time being a disappointment... and that was clear, because with so many great promises from Mr Fragrance one could only be disappointed...

Hope you like the comment, I appreciate your feedback :))

Paradise in the office?
Boring everyday scent that can only shine with its power.
The promised complexity, "depth", uniqueness and non quality cannot be smelled.
Modern woody amber + a QUANTITY of the Paradisone molecule (PFIRSICH, Jasmine, Neroli) + peppery bergamot It's clearly overpriced and can't even surpass the complexity of Dior's Sauvage (on the contrary...).

Here is my detailed video review (in English):
