The best Frangrance One until now
The first feeling is quite good, it feels like you are smelling something of good niche quality.
The mandarin is delicious, oily, woody, with a touch of vetiver, all well sustained, more serious and more mature than Date without a doubt, it does not have the sweetness that I didn't like about it, it's something else, although I understand that it has some date dna in common. The wood is very noticeable, nothing artificial.

The aroma is not groundbreaking but it's really well done, a kind of what Parfums de Marly offers but richer.

It's long lasting, and with perfect sillage, it's not close to be soft but also not overwhelming (it is more content than Date) and you can smell bursts all the time.

Black Tie is elegant, classy, masculine, except summer and the warmest part of the spring is totally versatile, it can be used in any situation, I have tried all three by Morillas from this house and I think this one is the best of them.

Although it isn't listed in the notes, it has to have leather, a leather with more quality than Guilty Absolute but more tamed, with that dark, masculine and lively wood and the orange that remains quite well, is the main accord.

Although I have found it to be an excellent perfume, the price is high compared to what can be found in that range, they are simply in different leagues, but it is not the only brand that does it, there are many niche houses that do the same and they don't have so much bad hype, the bottle is the most beautiful of the line, matte black, the cap and the box are a shame, there is nothing good to tell about it, there are Walmart cheap perfume packaging with better quality. But talking just about the juice, it's over a mid-range quality perfume, for comparison I think it could be in the cost range of half it official price.

Smell: 8/10
Longevity: 8.8 / 10
Sillage: 7.7 / 10
Price: € 329 / 100ml
Recommended: High (in sales, 50% off)

Date for Men Intense
Based on Jeremy's description and the notes this sounded too similar to Date for men, I mean, citrus fruity opening, cardamom, patchouli, "sexual" vetiver (as Jeremy calls it) and Guaiac Wood or Oud... No wonder he says it's easy to layer with Date and yes, I just tried it and they are very similar but there's actual Oud in this one (I never found any in Date) so it's darker and more intense but the rest feels like a Deja-Vu.
I really enjoy the mid and the base however, the sweet synthetic fruity opening is too distracting, you can't enjoy the woody, spicy scent. It feels like an opening for another fragrance (a cheaper one for that matter) mashed into a more expensive and mature one just to make it suitable for young and older people. It's still good, I think I'll enjoy wearing it but it's not nearly as good as it could've been.

Is it worth the price tag? Well, I was saving a 50% coupon I have for Fragrance. One for Black Tie's release but little did I know the price was going to be astronomical. Even with 50% off it's more expensive than some Niche and more established brands so no, no full bottle for me, not even at half off. I mean, I've seen Jeremy on videos explaining how low cost it is to produce a fragrance, stating the juice costs only a couple of bucks and considering he doesn't spend in packaging or bottle design it's beyond me how he can charge almost $400 for a bottle and why people pay for that (unless they are made of money). So no, it's NOT worth the asking price.

I don't dislike Jeremy, I don't approve of his buffoonery and some of his business decisions make no sense to me (when you charge that much but do a BOGO you're alienating a huge chunk of your audience) but I really like Office, Date is OK and I haven't tried Unisex yet. Day and Night were disappointing and Black Tie is good enough to get a 10ml.

Am I being played right now?
Right off the bat: I am disappointed...

Yesterday, I finally received the bottles of "Black Tie". I have never been so excited about a fragrance. Why am I so excited? The brand and its owner (FRAGRANCE.ONE & Jeremy Fragrance) are polarizing. You write a post in the forum and get not only positive feedback, due to Jeremy's peculiar demeanor. "I would never buy a fragrance from someone like that." has also been read.

I thought to myself, no matter what others say. You will try it out. And at the price of € 165,- for the bottle, the risk seemed low to me. The actual price of € 329,- would have deterred me more. I’m being honest.

But what did I, and the participants of my sharing starting tomorrow, receive? I am disappointed. Right from the bottle. The cap feels cheap, the crown around the neck of the bottle has no covering. For the price, I simply expected more.
I notice that the cap is already scratched when opening it. The metal is just too soft. The sprayer is great. I can’t complain about that. The box also feels cheap. Maybe I’m spoiled by Liquides Imaginaires and Penhaligon’s, but I expected it to feel more luxurious.

Of course, in the end, the fragrance is what matters most. But for me, the bottle and the packaging are part of the overall impression. I love magnetic caps like Amouage, for example, or heavy caps that make an impression.

Now it will be tested on the forearm for the first time. I close my eyes... a brutal opening that practically screams at you and says "here I am". It is smoky, it almost scratches the throat. I open my eyes because I think I must have the wrong bottle in my hand. This is?? Hmm... yes, definitely. You know this scent already.
Isn’t this "NO LIMIT$" by Philipp Plein... that can’t be. At least 3/4 of it is unmistakably so. And since both fragrances come from the same source, that’s not so far-fetched. With "Date for Men", they copied from "Ultra Male" back then.

There is something fresh that is missing in "NO LIMIT$". I search in my collection and find "Office for Men" and "Bleu de Chanel EdP". Exactly this freshness comes through.

After about 4 hours, it changes color. Now the guaiac wood and cardamom come through, and it becomes an original. I have never perceived this scent note before. While working on my laptop, it manages to linger for a long time from my wrists and forearms to my nose. The longevity and sillage are a 10/10, no shadow of a doubt.

What still disappoints me is its name. It doesn’t remind me at all of a "black tie" - or the dress code that is actually meant. But "
Le Vestiaire - Tuxedo" reminds me just as little of a tuxedo. I also don’t have a clear image in mind of what someone who wears this scent must look like.

Conclusion: My high expectations were disappointed across the board. Packaging, bottle, cap, opening, and heart note disappoint me.
"Black Tie for Men" and I will not become friends.

What a shame...

Stay away from cheese!!!!!
(At the end of my comment, you will find a brief summary)

Introduction:

This is one of the more recent YouTube video titles from Jeremy Fragrance, which is just as confusing as the connection between the name and the scent character of "black tie." The title of the video should rather be: "stay away from black tie events if you wear black tie."

How dear "Jeremy," or better said Daniel Schütz, as he is actually named, has influenced my fragrance journey, I have elaborated in a longer comment at Office for man. (Feel free to take a look) Winking smiley

With always new provocative and confusing videos, the self-proclaimed fragrance guru keeps stirring up YouTube. At first, I thought it was certainly just to generate more attention, but now I’m not so sure if that’s really the case or if he is genuinely going through a "difficult time" and discrediting himself publicly. I would have liked authentic reviews from him on unique fragrances and not some unfounded nutrition tips that make any reasonably educated person want to pull their hair out. But the times when you could get that kind of content are long gone.
Description of "Black tie":

Now to the scent from which I would have preferred to stay away at first impression. (Reference to the cheese video)
The scent was heavily promoted by Jeremy, just like his previous fragrances. Nevertheless, I hoped this time for no greater disappointment. After the catastrophic release of "Date for man," which for me was an absolute sweet synthetic bomb and thus disappointing, he didn’t do much better with "unisex for everybody."

The theme of "black tie" seemed relatively interesting to me, so I wanted to at least give the sample a fairer chance.

Upon the first spray, I would have burst into tears, as the scent initially smelled absolutely like Date for man on my skin. What a disappointment. I sprayed the scent on my arm several times and let it develop.
In the opening, there is a strong synthetic fruit mix at work, which I didn’t like even in "Date for man" or in fragrances like "Kirke" or "Erba Pura."

Fortunately, the fruit components were soon pushed into the background. Apparently, the Paraguayan guaiac wood is responsible for this, which is now becoming more prominent on the skin. I personally wear less woody fragrances, so this scent was at least something special for me, or rather something new. In combination with the sweetness, the fragrance definitely has something unique and creates at least in small parts a fragrance experience.

If I were to describe it as simply as possible, I would say it’s 1/4 "unisex for everybody," 1/4 "Date for man," and 2/4 woody components brewed together into a relatively harmonious mix. I could well imagine that lovers of "Creed's Royal Oud," who also enjoy "Date for man," might definitely like this scent.

Jeremy's YouTube colleague, Tuyau, aptly described it in his review of the fragrance. (Feel free to check it out on YouTube; the video is a very successful review of the scent)
He mentioned that the scent is not bad, but it cannot compete with the synthetics and the uninspired beginning against absolute top niche fragrances. I can definitely agree with this opinion.
Conclusion:

What remains as the final result? The scent still leaves me somewhat perplexed as it is not bad but never conveys the "vibe" of a 330 Euro perfume, neither in presentation nor in the scent itself. I would recommend everyone to test the scent extensively before purchasing and then think three times about whether this investment is proportionate to the performance. Moreover, the name of the fragrance is absolutely inappropriate, as I would prefer dozens of fragrances for a fancy "black tie event" over this one. (Perhaps this point is also somewhat subjective)
Positively, I would still like to highlight a few points. All fragrances from Fragrance One have above-average longevity and sillage, as does "Black tie," which is perceptible on my skin for a good 5-7 hours and lasts even longer on clothes. Another point would be the beautiful wood accord in the heart and base notes, which I have not smelled before and find very pleasant. The scent also gets better over time as the unpleasant synthetic note almost completely fades away, leaving a pleasant masculine, sweet-woody note. Additionally, as far as I have researched, it is "made in Germany," which may be uninteresting for many, but I still want to highlight it positively.

Men in their early twenties who like to go out and want to stand out with their scent will surely enjoy this fragrance. Generally, the scent is well received by both men and women, which I wouldn’t have necessarily thought. In conclusion, I consider this scent, alongside "office for man," to be the most solid release that Jeremy has brought to the market so far, price aside.
Thank you for your attention, and remember:
"stay away from cheese or people who wear the scent black tie at black tie events. ;-)"
Brief summary:

"Black tie" is a sweet (synthetic)-woody fragrance for a younger audience. The scent is suitable for going out or for a date. (Not necessarily for a black tie event)

Positive:

-Longevity/Sillage
-Made in Germany
-Partially very unique scent character

Negative:

-Top note very synthetic
-Price is outrageous
-EXTREMELY misleading name

Every Little Creature Its Pleasure
One can discuss and write at length about Jeremy, analyze and despise him, praise and doubt him - or not at all. What he has built up as an influencer is certainly more than respectable and impressive when viewed purely in terms of numbers. Personally, I can't watch his videos for even a second without feeling cringeworthy and shaking my head. But I don’t have to. His style, life philosophies, and the "values" he conveys could hardly be more wrong and problematic in my opinion. Especially for the youth, his main audience. Does every generation get the role models it deserves? And yet, I once met him personally at a perfume fair behind his seemingly always-running camera, and he was more than friendly, natural, and cool, unlike his YouTube persona. He even knew me. All of this blurs into a very strange picture for me, which I don't want to delve into further. I just hope he is/will be happy, more mature, and perhaps, in the best case, a bit less materialistic. However, I do want to engage with the fragrances, should they happen to wander under my nose. No more or less than with other scents. Okay, I admit, maybe with a bit more curiosity and a smile. But as always, definitely (m)ine as fair and independent an evaluation as possible. One should separate art and "artists," after all, right? ;-)

"Black Tie for Men" is a citrusy aggressor with a slight gasoline flair. Super positively, it doesn’t remind me directly of any other fragrance. That’s quite an achievement in this subgenre, I definitely expected something different. It definitely doesn’t smell like designer mass-produced goods to me. However, it doesn’t smell like the highest niche either, and the often-cited price raises at least one eyebrow. But the content, the juice... well, I like it. Quite a lot, actually. Its slightly rough 90s attitude (especially with the oily gas station flair) reminds me a bit of "Nightflight." A greasy strangler. For me, it’s more trashy than refined. But good trashy. American (B-Movie-)Psycho.

The absolute suit formula is not what I envision. Not at all. A tie killer is something else. The supposed panty remover falls flat. But that only gives some deductions in the back of my mind and the B-note. Its performance is impressive to rocking. Its foundation is more masculine and serious than one might think. Patchouli is very woody and dry, interpreted as toxic and greedy. It may shock some, but it’s only daring at first glance. Essentially, it’s built much safer and more solidly than expected. Sparkling and quite unsweet. If anything, at least just citrus fruit sugar. Neither a game changer nor a head scratcher. But a top wearable type of scent! Not just for high class and the black suit. But please, dose it discreetly. It doesn’t get better with quantity.

Bottle: quite safe and boring
Sillage: noticeable (especially for a primarily citrus fragrance)
Longevity: very, very good 9 hours - also exceptional for a citric (I’m not familiar with reformulations and differences)

Conclusion: an surprisingly safe, hissing, and yet somewhat ordinarily downplayed/upplayed, massively wearable and simply self-assured citrus seducer. Guilty pleasure. Synthetics done right, no need to follow the hype, but the scent can definitely get a big thumbs up. Especially for the younger and clearly defined target audience.

My first thought is this is John Varvatos Dark Rebel with a ton of citrus. A very wearable smokey woods and leather fragrance.

Could've been launched as 'Date for Men Intense'. It actually is an intense version of Date, the top notes clash with the mid and base

Dear JF,
I don't care about you,
but your scents are quite banal,
this one smells like a bicycle pedal,
& the price is very fatal.

I have nothing against Jeremy, but this scent is just outrageous. 329€?! The fragrance is okay, but the rating takes the price into account.

If diffuser sticks were included, this could find a place in the guest bathroom. What does that have to do with "Black Tie"?

Smoky, leathery, sweet. I think with a bit more depth it could come from the PDM house, leaning towards Herod but with more smoke.
Underrated.
