Flowery green jackpot...
There was a time when French fragrance houses were among my undisputed favourites......unfortunately (for me at least ;-)...) many of them have dedicated themselves to the current fragrance trends - which is understandable in monetary terms...
However, they have lost me for the most part as a potential customer....at least as far as the newer fragrances are concerned.....I like it classic, floral, green, chypry......understated, elegant and distinguished......
The obvious thing to do now was to turn more and more to the traditional English fragrance houses ......here I find everything my heart desires .....and even MORE!
Like for example "Connemara"......the fragrance house here is Irish, but nevertheless it remains true to the typical British line.....
Connemara is flowery-green-bright without being pungent or cold......mimosa and a shaken measure of clove ensure that the fragrance does not slip too much into small girlish sweetness, but also wraps the adult woman in a classically elegant floral veil.....
My iris fears (yes, I don't like iris ;-)...) fortunately didn't come true... together with peach, sandalwood and vanilla it merely provides a soft and flattering base here......the fragrance never gets dry or even dusty at any time....
In my imagination Connemara is a fragrance for a long summer walk or ride through the wild green Irish countryside and the final Guiness in the village pub.....
Hach, what is there better than a blind purchase, which is not only shamelessly cheap, but also a bull's eye :-)...!
