This is so beautiful.
A true fougere. The immediate blast of green ferns, followed closely by the beautiful carnation and rose, the mossy base with the barest hint of vetiver…. this smells exactly like my mental image of Ireland in the spring.
This is a fragrance that simply makes me happy.
The scent is absolutely perfect. Being an EDC, longevity and projection are average at best, but, you can go up to 5 sprays to improve both (I use four and get about 6 hours). At the obscenely low price point, you can also reapply halfway through the day. Still, it performs as well as most EDTs. It is still present on my shirt the following morning.
Unless you frequent Irish shops, you’ll need to order online. Just Google it.
The link between scent and memory is very strong. I remember what my grandfather smelled like as clearly as I remember his face. Whenever I smell Skin Bracer, I am, for a moment, a little boy again. I keep a bottle, but never wear it. I just want to take off the cap and smell it sometimes.
I will always wear Patrick when I am with my grandchildren. This is how I want them to remember me smelling when I am gone.
I think I will leave a bottle for each of them. Not to wear, of course. Just to smell.
