"Rainy Days and Mondays ...
… always get me down“ sang the "Carpenters" back then and even yesterday for me.
Who doesn't feel that way sometimes?
But we, with our personal fragrance bar and all our samples and decants, should be able to do something about it.
I thought about it and came to the conclusion that Gelis just sent me one of those mood-lifting fragrance samples: “Sun Royal Oud” by Franck Olivier.
Golden blonde and bright, like a summer day, is already the liquid in the small vial.
Neither a camel nor a cow stable is being cleaned out here; although I usually don't mind that and even like it in the right fragrance combination, a wearable summer variant is also something nice and welcome.
Because even in summer, there are those gray moods and the corresponding rainy days.
A few drops of “Sun Royal Oud” quickly set bright fragrance lights with fresh, invigorating, valuable Amalfi lemon, a hint of tart black currant, melon, and a bit of hidden apple aroma.
On rich, but not too strong patchouli earth, the most wonderful summer flowers bloom, whose floral scent immediately spreads good cheer; what does the gray outside and inside matter to us now?
Noble ripe (white?) roses, jasmine bursting with sensual joy, and generous white lilies with golden anthers do not hold back their charms and are accompanied by bright wood with strong radiance.
Thus, this sunny “Blond-Oud-Atmosphere” of fragrant lightness is created, crowned by a light, whipped vanilla-musk veil.
Nothing is dark or heavy in “Sun Royal Oud,” everything fits harmoniously together, and this is also radiated by this fragrance composition.
An entry-level variant for those interested in oud?
I’m not quite sure, because oud makes its presence felt, distinct yet summery cheerful, guiding the other fragrance notes kindly but firmly through the day.
Over the course of its long-lasting wear, this likable oriental transforms, ripening on my skin surprisingly warm and rich, and now and then, even light, bright tobacco nuances emerge:
I experience an extremely interesting fragrance development!
“Sun Royal Oud,” available since 2004, does not allow any gloomy moods to arise, and if they are already present, they are dispelled by golden light and a cheerfully graceful scent.
With this sun fragrance, “Rainy Days and Mondays” remains just a beautiful song that can be enjoyed while floating on the wave of nostalgia, without being infected by the mood described therein.
“Sunny Royal Oud-Summer-Days” are surely here through a few drops of this golden liquid, and to stay on topic: These take us “On the Top of the World looking down on Creation …”
What could be better for us?
Today is Pentecost Sunday, let’s celebrate it pleasantly fragrant and cheerfully!
