This is the Sweet Fig for Which You've Been Searching
It seems with fig fragrances there are two schools of execution. First there are several fresh green, twiggy, nutty fig-tree,woody fig-leaf and unripened fig unisex potions such as L'Artisan's "Premier Figuier", Diptyque's "Philosykos", and Pacifica's "Mediterranean Fig". Secondly, there are the candied fig and sweet fig-flesh of the fruity variety that exult the succulent rich and sticky gourmand pleasure of the fig itself. I read many reviews about the first type of woody green fresh fig fragrance where the reviewers are shocked and disappointed because they were expecting the latter type of sweet candied fig. Well, here it is the cloyingly sweet candied fig fragrance that some of the fig lovers camp have been seeking! This recipe is definitely- figs drenched in apricot dessert wine with heavy peach syrup. It has decent sillage, about arms length for the first 2 hours and leaves that trail of edible sticky fruit that will make people around you suddenly crave a trip to the nearest bakery/pancake house. I consider this in same the category with Comptoire sud Pacific's "Vanille Abricot", although Fig Apricot has a little bit more going on with the dominant chewy gooey fig note on the top and then a light clean musky finish in the base that outlast CsP by a long-mile. Otherwise, the Vanille Abricot and Fig Apricot are likely useful in the same situations, i.e. Spring and Summer Date nights at the Disco roller skating rink for women/ girls and Tropical vacations.
