Their Most Vintage Fragrance
Update 6/2/2025: Like the title says, this is the brand's most vintage fragrance. Even though its vintage inspired, it a fragrance that can be worn today without smelling like a dated grandma. If anything, this is when you go through old photos of your grandma and find out how cool she was. She was sneaking around prohibition getting drunk and attending extravagant parties. You wish you were as cool as she was. This is a typical fragrance from the 1950s and older, its an aldehyde bomb of powdery florals and slightly sweet citrus. But its an approachable scent by being fresh and light. There is a bit of soapiness to it, it could be coming from the lavender but its not distracting. A 10ml will cost you $65 and a 50ml will cost $185.
Original: This is a Grand Affair, opulent like the name suggests. This fragrance opens with a soft bitter citrus and a woody undertone. Then you get the florals. Lavender and Rose can sometimes read as "soap" but not in this case. The powder slowly creeps in but it is warm and amber like. It doesn't "age" the scent but instead does lend it that vintage feel. I tend to dislike vanilla as a note because it can overpower or detract from the other notes. This is not the case with this fragrance. The vanilla is there the whole time as a background character. It doesn't detract from the other notes, instead the vanilla draws you in and the florals keep you there. I actually got complimented on this perfume, I thought it had faded but my co-workers smelled it just fine. It lasted all day.
