The Art of Manliness

Sniff, men. Research claims that a chemical component in other men's sweat makes men more cooperative and generous. All male pheromones are not equally attractive. The scent produced by fresh male sweat may be appealing, but the smell produced by sweat after exposure to oxygen, i.e. when it is less fresh, is usually highly unpleasant. So, men who believe their sweaty, "macho" body odour is attractive to women are deluding themselves. Male body odour can smell like onion or have a pleasant vanilla smell. All this to say that Man's is the manliest perfume I know after Kouros Eau de Toilette. Is there anything more vigorous than this underrated scent? Oh man, I've received tons of compliments all the times I have worn it.

While waiting for a site update, here are the alleged fragrance notes:
- top notes: bergamot, lime fruit, foliage, mint, sage;
- middle notes: iris, violet, ginger, pepper;
- base notes: amber, musk, cedarwood, guaiac wood, patchouli, sandalwood.

My nose says the fragrance is woody, aromatic, fougère, balsamic, and powdery. This one reminds me of the tempting smell of floor wax, which I like. If you are anything like me, you're intrigued by all the quirky good-smelling things. Despite the foliage and other herbs, the scent is has a masculine slant from the very beginning.

I can smell citrus mingled with an aromatic accord at the beginning, but none of the middle notes (at least, iris and violet are not so prominent or overstepping). The iris root does not show any lipstick or make-up facets. Besides, the violet leaves turn out a bit metallic, moisty, though I do not catch the typical petrol vibe. And all over the fantastic manly combination of patchouli, rose accord (I guess it is the guaiac wood or rosewood), and musk, animal strong musk. I bought it blindly cause I was fascinated by the notes, and I fell in love with it at the first spray. Perhaps, the trio of rose, patch, and musk is responsible for the fresh manly sweat that makes this scent so intriguing and appealing.

I did not find a similar perfume so far. Do you know anything that is closely akin to this? I like the final masculine smoky, ambery, animal mix of virility. This scent will turn all your senses on. What remains is a kind of sense of contentment after a strong arousal, with rosy and powdery undertones that tempt you again. The woods and the spices rule the behaviour, but in a mild way, and blend well with the amber and mossy tones.

Last but not least, sillage is above the average, though people near you can smell it without annoyance, and longevity is outstanding. I still smell it after 10 hours. Let me say GM Man's is a high-quality, niche fragrance. Perhaps, it was meant to be a night-out perfume. However, I wore it at the office and got many compliments. I regularly wear it during cold months; winter is the season that makes it shine. Though, both spring and fall are good occasions for wearing it.
