Good Against Phoneitis
Today my friend is suffering from phoneitis again - and her ringtone is constantly playing - notably: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Her husband chose this sound for her.
The first three calls are still good, the next three are rather bad, and the following ones are unfortunately ugly.
Especially since the topic of conversation always repeats.
The husband and the dog fled the house - I wanted to flee too.
I escaped to the perfume shop and looked for something that looked cheerful.
Paris est une fete sounds promising.
Trusting blindly in the title, I bought it and immersed myself in the scent at home.
Mmm, Parisian charm envelops me, accompanied by musette music.
Soft peach and juicy plum drip onto my skin - but without being sticky.
Orange is known to be calming - which I really needed.
With coconut and tiare, I dream myself far beyond Paris, to a beautiful exotic island.
Without a phone - and lovely because it's far away.
Cedar adds a delicate smoky note, and sweet vanilla rounds off the celebration.
The scent is only Parisian at the beginning, but then it moves on to the South Seas.
I hear ukuleles playing and Belafonte singing: Oh Island in the sun...
Completely entranced, I look at the phone display - and see a red 6 blinking.
The Parisian celebration on Harry's Island had perfectly shielded me.
Thank you.
