Noble Leather Scent
In the following, I would like to examine the parallels and differences between Al Asel (AA) and Tom Ford Tuscan Leather (TL).
In the top note, TL is far ahead, as it is softer and rounder here. Much more harmonious and noble. In direct comparison, AA smells somewhat biting and actually not good at all.
Drydown:
AA and TL smell very, very similar in the drydown. Very, very good!
However, AA wins hands down in terms of longevity. TL can only be faintly detected on the skin after just a few hours. In contrast, AA has an additional spicy note.
I think, when looking at the prices, it is more worthwhile to go for AA. And that’s coming from someone who is a huge fan of TL. I find the top note very beautiful - but it doesn’t count as much for me as the drydown. Once my bottle of TL is empty, I will probably reach for Ghawali.
