Wolf in Sheep's Clothing…

I must slowly come to realize that the Gritti brand is not for me. So far, no hits. Many are boring, pleasing, and many have poor longevity, with a few exceptions that I also didn't like because they were too masculine for me, etc. However, I find the bottles extraordinarily appealing. Many scents bear too much resemblance to cheap designer perfumes, which even have better longevity. This is also the case with Because I'm Free ..

The scent has an extremely strong resemblance to L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge in the opening, which I would even prefer if it were in my direction, which it is not. The fragrance is a mix of super sweet fruits and a bubblegum tuberose. Very girly and super mainstream, which doesn't have to be bad, but for the price, you might as well go to the "green" store and get "L'Interdit (Eau de Parfum Rouge) | Givenchy," which has great longevity and is much cheaper. The difference between the two scents is really minimal and only exists in the deep drydown. In the drydown, the Gritti becomes bitter/sour and has a hint of green from the banana blossom, then changes character and becomes a bit burning/stinging, which I don't like very much. So, as always, a scent from the brand that is absolutely nothing for me..

It's funny how differently we sometimes perceive things! For me, the scent lasts at least 2 days without reapplying, and sometimes it's still there even after showering.

L'Interdit isn't really my taste either. So this Gritti probably won't be for me either.
