A perfect scent for 3 raccoons in a trench coat disguising themselves as a woman
White flowers – super sweet. Patchouli – so clearly visible so early? Ginger and pimento leaf – yes. Blood orange – maybe if I squint? Eh. It's excessively sweet more than anything.

Jasmine here is more visible than in L'Interdit (2018) Eau de Parfum, but not to the point where it would overpower the main star – tuberose. But the tuberose itself, as well as the composition in general feels... unremarkable? It's hard to find the right word. Disappointing?

Perhaps it's on me for inevitably developing vague expectations for currently "Ranked 6 in Women's Perfume"; and the fact that I recently tried and loved the original (well, the 2018 version of it) L'Interdit doesn't help the situation... But this just smells like any other feminine white floral perfume ever? I don't get it.

The floral scent is rather flat, and ginger and pimento are more prickly than they are flavorful. The added earthiness just brings it, well, further down to earth. A bouquet, discarded on the street without a second thought, and I think someone may have already stepped on it.

The sillage is large, but is mostly contained in the 2 meter radius around the wearer. Quickly fizzles out in a larger area. Takes about ~2 hours to settle close to skin. At around ~3 hour mark starts drying down.

Gets worse. Feels dirty and... wet? With a spoilt spicy undertone. Do you know how sometimes a little bit of foul liquid forms at the bottom of the trash bag? And it leaks just a drop as you take out the trash in the morning, but the ghost of that smell haunts you late into the evening? That's the feeling I get from it. That lasts for about ~1 hour, then starts drying out as well.

The last ~2,5 hours are filled with a fading dirty sweetness. Is that it? Ah well. The more I know, I guess.

Icon of the Luxury segment
The first thing that struck me was the longevity of Givenchy L'Interdit Rouge. From the moment I applied it, the perfume unfolded its layers with grace and sophistication, lingering throughout the day. The top notes of blood orange and ginger dance delicately on the skin, gradually giving way to the heart notes of tuberose and jasmine. The base notes of patchouli and sandalwood anchor the fragrance beautifully, ensuring a lasting impression that effortlessly transitions from day to night.

The sillage of L'Interdit Rouge is nothing short of enchanting. As I moved through my day, I noticed the subtle trail of this alluring scent, leaving a captivating aura wherever I went. The perfume strikes a perfect balance between being present and not overwhelming, making it suitable for various occasions.

One cannot overlook the stunning flacone that houses this masterpiece. The deep red hue of the bottle is not only visually striking but also adds a touch of glamour and mystery. The design reflects the passionate and bold essence of the fragrance within, making it a luxurious addition to any fragrance collection.

First Fragrance to Capture My Attention
New to the fragrance world! My fiance and I have been testing fragrances for our wedding and he so kindly bought a testing kit from Ulta which included L'Interdit Rouge. When I tell you I was INSTANTLY captivated by this scent. So rich, sexy, and unique, I knew I had to purchase.

This unfortunately won't be my wedding scent, as we're getting married in June with potentially hot weather, but Rouge, as well as other flankers from the L'Interdit collection are slowly but surely making their way to my shelf. This is the fragrance that started my interest in perfumes in general and I absolutely love everything about it.

I wore it to a wedding last week and I could still smell it on myself on the drive home the next morning. So captivating, spicy, and sweet.

Beautiful
This is really Gorgeous. Love at first sniff even after traveling in the heat with UPS. So deep, dark, smokey, sweet and sexy. Just my typf of fragrance. I even love the bottle. I can't wait to test it out to see how the longevity is. I bought this as a blind buy and have ZERO regrets. This somehow reminds me of hypnotic poison as well as opium a bit, mixed in. I think this is going to be one of my favorites.

Update:
This scent is stunning! Absolutely beautiful, from start to finish. Even the drydown is absolutely amazing. I can smell the orange immediately, mixed with this beautifully done Tuberose. All with the Ginger and the Patchouli. It is blended so well and absolutely one of my favorite scents.

Not what i was expecting
Woah. L’Interdit literally smells like cinnamon Red Hots. Not what I as expecting at all, but I think weirdly enough I like it better than I would have if it were closer to the listed notes? It’s certainly sweet-spicy, vibrant, and more than a little flirty. I never liked Red Hots themselves, but a perfume evoking their essence might have been exactly what I needed in my collection.

Whoa! If you are a man who likes Tuberose then this is your perfume. Spicy, deeply floral, earty, mysterious, masculine in one word.

One of the best designer releases in the last couple of years. A spicy floral with a citrus opening that doesn’t give air freshener vibes.

so good! a delightful instance of a flanker outshining the already compelling original (by deepening and darkening the original.)

Expansive & shameless night out floral perfume, full of sweet orange and ginger. Patchouli darkens the sandalwood in the base. Diva mood.

Sultry, loud florals with a rich patchouli base (girlfriend asked if I was wearing something with chocolate). Perfect scent for a night out.

Sexy from the inside out. Bottle perfectly matches the dark, intimate feel. Ginger floats effortlessly over sweet white florals and wood.

I dislike OG L'Interdit but Rouge is very nice. The best flanker IMO. An interesting, deep + spicy-sweet floral scent.

The contrast between that bold ginger spice and the blood orange is really awesome. It’s a great start to a fun ride, on the whole.
