A perfect scent for 3 raccoons in a trench coat disguising themselves as a woman
White flowers – super sweet. Patchouli – so clearly visible so early? Ginger and pimento leaf – yes. Blood orange – maybe if I squint? Eh. It's excessively sweet more than anything.
Jasmine here is more visible than in L'Interdit (2018) Eau de Parfum, but not to the point where it would overpower the main star – tuberose. But the tuberose itself, as well as the composition in general feels... unremarkable? It's hard to find the right word. Disappointing?
Perhaps it's on me for inevitably developing vague expectations for currently "Ranked 6 in Women's Perfume"; and the fact that I recently tried and loved the original (well, the 2018 version of it) L'Interdit doesn't help the situation... But this just smells like any other feminine white floral perfume ever? I don't get it.
The floral scent is rather flat, and ginger and pimento are more prickly than they are flavorful. The added earthiness just brings it, well, further down to earth. A bouquet, discarded on the street without a second thought, and I think someone may have already stepped on it.
The sillage is large, but is mostly contained in the 2 meter radius around the wearer. Quickly fizzles out in a larger area. Takes about ~2 hours to settle close to skin. At around ~3 hour mark starts drying down.
Gets worse. Feels dirty and... wet? With a spoilt spicy undertone. Do you know how sometimes a little bit of foul liquid forms at the bottom of the trash bag? And it leaks just a drop as you take out the trash in the morning, but the ghost of that smell haunts you late into the evening? That's the feeling I get from it. That lasts for about ~1 hour, then starts drying out as well.
The last ~2,5 hours are filled with a fading dirty sweetness. Is that it? Ah well. The more I know, I guess.
