Elegant leather vintage fragrances

first seen the light of day in 1965, renewed in 2003. Timeless elegance in a modern guise.
The fragrance opens citrusy, with the toilet stone note that is notorious among fragrance enthusiasts. But the freshly cleaned bathroom also has a pithy soap to offer. Floral, slightly leathery, somewhat animalic, floral. An interesting start. Just typical vintage DNA.

The pungent citrus from the first whiff disappears after 5 minutes and makes way for a ripe, balanced bitter orange, which fades more and more into the background over time.
The fragrance can finally unfold its full potential. It becomes masculine, somewhat dirty, but on the other hand more pleasant, leathery, resinous and sweeter. Patchouli and leather take on a dominant role.

After 6 hours, it changes one last time Vanilla and benzoin now make their grand entrance and I could have sworn that rose geranium also plays a role, although it is not listed.

A must-have for vintage lovers and definitely worth testing for everyone else.
