Summer morning in Margate
One of the very few aquatic scents that I like, very peculiar and unusual, not the 0815-Meeresevokation with alleged salt, etc.. You lie in the sunshine in a green hollow, the air is fresh, the herbs bloom, the stony coast is not far, a few hours ago you have sucked a throat gold (blue) and still feel a metallic-bitter taste. Boldly composed. The longevity is amazing: a loose 8 hours with 1x spraying, the sillage after an initial explosion pleasantly in the medium range. Fits damp-fresh early spring weather and is also in the summer a beautiful, invigorating fragrance.

The manufacturer's website is remarkable, there are also very atmospheric videos about the individual fragrances and their places of origin near Margate in Kent.

Walpole Bay
This scent is called Walpole Bay and it's a Edp - It's based on a uninhabited bay with remnants of beach use in times gone by and only a raw natural beauty left behind to enjoy.

For those who have no idea about this scent or the creators let me give you some information before I describe the scent. Haeckels has a shop in the lovely Margate area in the UK that sells products with all natural ingredients. They have a range of Edp fragrances that are based on areas around their location with the ingredients sourced from the area as well. They even have a lovely video of each of the areas the scents were inspired by so you can wear the scent and check out the video at the same time.

Now this scent is made up of Galbanum which accounts for the intense greeness, lavender and eucalyptus. I'm sure there are other notes but these are the main players.

One spray to my arm was all that was needed to produce a intense sharp green fresh aroma. This quickly opens up to produce this watery saline effect, like your smelling the watery sea in the air. So if you can imagine a intense greenness mixed in with what smells to my nose like watery green sea air just caressing your senses like your walking on a old beach. It's quite unique and very strong, the projection is almost overwhelming. The mix of Galbanum, lavender and eucalyptus does produce a very unusual and evocative fragrance and one I have not smelled before.

The quality is good and I like it but it does overwhelm my senses at times, it's very fresh and that watery sea air effect is amazing. They have actually captured it quite well, sometimes I smell it and it's good. Other-times it overwhelms me but it is the definition of unique.
