HM Hanae Mori / ハナヱ モリ 1998 Eau de Toilette

I got hold of HM Eau de Toilette as a blindbuy here in the souk sometime last year because I found the scent so interesting. I had never heard of citrus with sweetness as the main character before.

And that's pretty much exactly how the fragrance starts. Citrusy and sweetly powdery. It's also a little fresh. It reminds me personally of L'Homme. It becomes increasingly sweeter and deeper. I would also describe this perfume primarily as sweet.

Therefore, I would also say that it is not the summer fragrance it is categorized as here. I would rather wear it in spring and fall. However, it could work well on cooler summer days. I also don't see it as a distinctly masculine fragrance. It is more in a slightly feminine direction. It is good for leisure, evening and even work, if it is carefully dosed.

Longevity and sillage are average, but decent for the low price for which you can get the HM Eau de Toilette. As a result, I would describe the price-performance ratio as very good.

All in all, the HM Eau de Toilette was a successful and interesting blind buy. However, it is certainly not a totally pleasing fragrance. I would therefore try it first, if possible.
