A Rose in the Cow Stall
This impression is conveyed to me by the top note of this rose perfume, making the scent somewhat unpleasant for the first 15 minutes, as far as my taste is concerned.
I hadn't looked at the pyramid before the first test and would have guessed Oud due to the manure note in the top note, but it apparently isn't present.
Once you get through the barn experience, a beautiful accord of rose and musk unfolds over a very long time.
If patchouli was used in this fragrance, then only in small doses, as it doesn't really come through, at least to my nose. However, I think that the patchouli is responsible for the moderate sweetness that develops with the heart note.
In the end, a creamy clean skin scent remains as a base, and this scent progression unfortunately leaves me somewhat dissatisfied with this rose.
The longevity is very good at over 14 hours, and the initially intense sillage steadily decreases with the scent progression. Unfortunately, the manure note is the most noticeable, and the rest of the scent progression does not compensate enough for me to overlook this flaw.
Even though this Hind Al Oud couldn't convince me, it does make me curious enough to explore this brand further.
