Deserves more than a 6 before the decimal.
King's Road opens with a very naturally presented top note. Listed are bergamot, grapefruit, and black currant. I don't perceive the black currant at all. Personally, I get a very natural and truly pleasant-smelling mandarin with a hint of grapefruit. From the very beginning, this is accompanied by an herbal note (rosemary), which gives the fragrance a somewhat masculine touch. The fruity top note fades quite quickly, leaving a rather subtle, skin-close vetiver base. I can only subtly perceive sandalwood or musk. The fragrance does indeed have some shower gel nuances due to the aquatic notes, but contrary to other statements, it is not artificial at all. I have some highly potent and expensive alternatives like Pana Dora Aqua Dora, Byredo Bal d'Afrique, or Terre de Hermes. Nevertheless, in the summer, when faced with a decision, I often reach for King's Road. It is simply always appropriate, it does nothing wrong, and it is a perfect daily scent that smells good. For fans of Terre de Hermes Eau Tré Fraîche, this fragrance is definitely worth a try. The top note is of course typically different for Hermes, but the base has great similarities for me.

Prototype of a very distinctive fresh-spicy scent. Aquatic notes and a hint of shower gel. Straightforward, but a bit too bold for me.

From the green Hyde Park, it’s onto the sunny, lively King’s Road. A fitting, fresh-fruity-spicy counterpart.
