Exhilarating green, herb-floral aroma package in bath oil bottle strength
Wow! Here, in terms of "green," "plant-like," "wiry," and "energetic," they really go all out.
The advertisement poster above hits the nail on the head; with "Hyde Park," you truly embark on a journey deep into the green, grassy, herby, and distinctly floral.
From the very beginning, you are whipped by a veritable wave of aromas that densely weave together many of the characteristics of figs. Minimally fruity, very focused on stems and leaves, there's also a bit of garden soil clinging on.
Angelica contributes significantly to the herbaceous, nearly bone-dry plant impression; the rose itself is anything but sweetly crafted, building up in a very earthy, hefty, and bitter manner.
The vetiver runs through everything in a straightforwardly clean, once again earthbound green way. For my nose and my perception, it's already quite intense, somewhat annoying in its straight-laced prominence, directness without any embellishment, and in its concentration, it somewhat reminds me of those large green bath oil bottles that you would unscrew as a child when your mom stepped out of the bath and inhale their contents with your nose.
What you smell there comes quite close to "Hyde Park," and that might not be entirely understood as a compliment for a men's fragrance. Not for me; the exhilarating aspect bothers me after less than an hour of sniffing.
