White musk, slightly aldehydic
At first I said, nope, not my style. I went through a phase of trying floral-aldehyde-musks from the 70s-80s, but just could not find one that suited me. Callandre came the closest. Oneirogen immediately reminded me of those vintage, ever-so-slightly-dated floral aldehyde profiles. But, it's apparently a grower, not a shower. After some time, it warms from a cool and aloof white musk to a slightly warmer, clean-skin scent. Actually, it gets to the likeable, cuddly phase after many hours. Is still on skin the next day. I am indifferent to the fact that I don't smell any fruity or berry accords except for a whiff in the first few minutes. This is not a berry scent, to my nose; but rather, a MUSK scent through-and-through. Normally, this laundry-style musk turns intolerably sour on my skin, but not here. Unusual in its ability to become very intimate, sensual, and oh-so-human. Will keep this to see if it grows into a love.
