Surprizingly unisex
The fragrance notes were familiar from other Yves Rocher perfumes I enjoy wearing, or in the case of the grapefruit, at least similar. They were enough to make me curious about this perfume, though at first I hesitated whether buying one was worth the risk of putting my money on a poorly fitting scent.

In the end, I'm glad I tried it. It's very fresh, with just the right kind of citrus based sourness to complement my skin chemistry. Even though this was made for men, I say it can pass as unisex or even a sporty women's perfume.

This is not a keeper...
The citrus notes in this new fragrance by YR are not as grapefruity as I had hoped for. What I smell is some nondescript hesperidic accord frequently employed in perfumery to add sparkle and freshness. My husband tried "Cyprès et Pamplemousse" on his skin today and disliked it, but to him, most citrus fragrances smell like dish-washing detergent. So he will not use this one. But will I? There are hardly any interesting features contained in this fragrance. The base note consists of some woody notes which seem rather artificial to me (also Yves Rocher claims that they are natural). Some wintergreen cypress? Only the perfumer Sonia Constant could tell us. Unfortunately, I can't smell much ginger either ( and that was the reason why I ordered the scent in the first place!). All in all a fragrance I could do without. Disappointing.

Prescribed Pick-Me-Up
After I spent the night battling chaotic alarm system dreams (see Vanilla Noire comment) - I woke up feeling quite groggy and very tired.

The more electronic gadgets you have in your cozy home, the more it makes you jittery.
Come on - we do have a sharp police poodle!

I described my feeble state to a dear perfumer - and she immediately had a solution.

From afar, I was prescribed Cypres - and this fresh, cheerful scent kindly guides me into the day.
Even the gentleman forest ranger feels addressed by the aromatic cypress, seeing himself in his green element - and is in a good mood.

Tuscany-like feelings resonate within me, further intensified by the bitter citrus of grapefruit.
Cypres pleasantly reminds me of my all-time favorite, Voyage by Hermes.
However, in the Yves, a mild ginger also subtly comes to the fore.
A good alternative to Hermes, especially with the already hot temperatures.

Cypres gently cools down - hopefully also the moody, diva-like warning device.

Unisex
Since I particularly enjoy fresh and sporty scents in spring/summer, I don't hesitate to try men's fragrances as well. This time, I chose this men's fragrance as a blind buy as a gift. If I didn't like it, I would have passed it on to my husband or son-in-law. But the gentlemen miss out, as this is yet another fragrance that appeals to me. Easily classified as a unisex scent.

The opening is citrusy fresh, quickly blending with cypress and ginger. Cypress gives the fragrance a kick, while ginger adds a touch of exotic spiciness. Thus, it is not a boring scent. In the dry down, it becomes slightly woody with pine and warmer, but not too warm. The freshness remains well noticeable until the end. Longevity is about 3-4 hours, and I am satisfied with that.

I will also take the opportunity to try the other two men's fragrances in the series.

Great Summer Perfume
I really like this perfume.
I received it from my mother years ago, and the brand Yves Rocher reminds me a lot of her.

The fragrance is super fresh. Predominantly citrus and green notes. Great for warm days.
The longevity, of course, leaves something to be desired, which is to be expected. After all, citrus notes fade quite quickly.

Unfortunately, it has been discontinued, and all resellers offer it at surprisingly high prices.
But if you see it somewhere again for under €25, you can definitely go for it.

Pleasant fresh scent for summer with a hint of masculinity. Uncomplicated and light. Synthetic notes are balanced. I like it a lot.

So chemical and unpleasant was YR rarely for me. Nice opening, but then it became a candidate for washing off. Synthetic wood of the worst kind.

Gentle grapefruit with a subtle woody undertone; more than modest longevity. Still: a charming summer scent for men! A citrus alternative.

The Nature series is incredibly soothing. Simple progression, simple pyramid. Very fresh and definitely unisex. Real stunners!

Beautiful unisex scent without an aftershave note. Fresh-spicy with a lot of ginger, not too citrusy. Very pleasant to wear in summer.

Fresh all-rounder, great for layering & refreshing. Ironically, one of my cheapest scents that got the most compliments.

Fresh scent. Not overpowering and always suitable. About €12 for 75ml. Good value for money.

Smells fresh and like cucumber at the opening. Woody notes in the dry down. Subtle but pleasant scent. Very poor longevity.

Fresh, woody with citrus and a hint of spice. A successful freshness kick. You do need to reapply often, but that's totally acceptable.
