Not very similar to Roadster
I did expect something like original Roadster, but this it's not.

I'd say this is a fresh herbal scent that remembers me more of L'eau Bleue D'Issey than Roadster.

Opens with some citruses then joins the herbs (mostly sage) - the base is light woody.

Good sillage, projection and average lasting power.

Bitter green freshness
This turned out quite nicely. It is a citrusy sports scent, yes, and it has some interesting aspects. It opens bitter with cut grass and mint. Then Mediterranean herbs come through, sage in particular, and eventually some light woods. The drydown lasts quite some time, but does not radiate much.

As soon as the minty citrus opening fades, projection is very soft. Some may tend to respray in this stage, or overspray initially, but that might backfire as the mint can be harsh. This is not a 'loud' fragrance, accept it.

All in all, a nice green freshy that doesn't feel too 'shower gel' to me. Enjoyable.

Surprisingly good!
For a long time, the sample sat around with me, as sport fragrances are not my primary area of interest. Now, in autumn, they are out of season anyway, and with the current new releases, one searches in vain for the addition "Sport." Is it due to the weather, or is the trend slowly fading?

Cartier is known for not producing the worst perfumes. Some are elegant, and often the fragrances show character, even if I don't like them all. And Roadster Cartier Sport is better than many other sport fragrances.

Roadster Sport begins with a nicely composed, delicate citrus note. Not specified, but in my opinion present, are very slight ozonic or maritime fresh notes. Not really disturbing, just enough to add a certain ethereal touch to the light citrus note. This brings us to the core of what I believe makes a typical sport fragrance. By the way: Roadster Sport is not too far from Eau de Cartier or its orange version, although it is more expressive than those extremely thin Eaux.

The citrus freshness is likely sustained for a long time thanks to fixatives. However, it is the herbal heart notes that give Roadster Sport a pleasant, masculine character. In the woody base, a hint of guaiac wood can be sensed, but the base note is not pronounced. I might be mistaken, but I think I can also detect a very slight wild leather note at a distance from the skin - an exceedingly subtle reminiscence of fragrances like Skarb by Humicki & Graef or the Mark Birley men's perfume.

My expectations for Roadster Sport were low, but I actually like it quite a bit. In this restraint, the synthetically fresh notes are enjoyable, and the herbal aspect is also well done and feels very piquant. The freshness has a somewhat maritime-salty quality! I find Roadster Sport to be a nice, slender, and not overpowering masculine summer fragrance, perhaps even a touch finer than the also good Burberry Sport. This is truly wearable, not just in the office, but maybe also on a summer outing to the sea!

Vroom Again!
Hmm… while the original Roadster made me think of classic cars, here I also see cars in front of me, although they are more modern. Whether that's solely due to the word Sport, I can't say.
I generally don't particularly like sport editions of fragrances, yet I still test them to see how a scent I like smells in the sport version. The Roadster Sport isn't half bad. Perhaps that's also because both fragrances differ only slightly from each other.

The opening smells similar to the regular Roadster, and I believe I can already perceive the patchouli from the very beginning. Of course, there are fresh notes like orange and mandarin at first. In the heart note, sage and pepper dominate. In the end, it becomes slightly woody, then the earthy patchouli comes back, while the sage and pepper are still noticeable. Naturally, the citrusy, fresh notes are also present throughout, stronger than in the regular Roadster, but the patchouli is weaker here.

The longevity is okay, around 5 hours should be expected, although the scent weakens over time. The sillage is about as good or average as the regular Roadster. So initially quite good, later reduced to a normal level.

The bottle is the same as the one from the Roadster, and I still think it looks like an Art Deco mixer, which I must say I find quite successful. The Roadster looks even a bit better due to the red sport lettering.

Roadster Sport smells very similar to the regular Roadster, but of course, there are the differences described above when you smell closely. Essentially, one could almost say that the Sport is just a regular Roadster, only a bit fresher and with toned-down patchouli. Honestly, I find it hard to say which version is better, as I like both equally, and everyone should test it for themselves. However, if someone already owns the regular Roadster, they definitely don't need to get the sport version and vice versa. However, for summer, the regular Roadster is sufficient, while for even hotter days, the sport edition is the better choice.

I'm off, vrooom….!

Underrated Sport Fragrance That Deserves Its Name
Good sport fragrances are, in my opinion, very rare. However, there is light on the horizon, and "Roadster Sport" is unjustly overshadowed.

Cartier took an individual approach with the original "Roadster" by combining mint with vanilla to create a very distinctive blend with recognizability. Many believe that the sporty offshoot is a watered-down version trimmed to fit the mainstream comfort zone. I see it differently. "Roadster Sport" reminds me of lemon balm, which, together with orange, provides a citrus-minty freshness that later becomes subtly grounded in a masculine way. Somehow light, yet still distinctly masculine.

This is how I envision a fragrance in a sporty context, rather than the frequent aqua-synthetic club that cannot hide its origins. It is refreshing and yet somehow casual at the same time. For me, this is not 0815, but it certainly has a right to exist. The characteristic mint of the original also comes through repeatedly without smelling like spearmint gum. Everything feels natural with a hint of very good sport deodorant. This aspect is hard to describe, may not sound very inviting, but in fact, it is.

Viewed this way, I appreciate "Roadster Sport" as a fragrance that is not a label deception and conveys sporty lightness and elegance with an individual touch, especially in summer. I like it and consider this Cartier to be underrated.

Anyone who knows how poorly the regular Roadster drives can guess that the sport version won't stay on track either! FruityFreshWoodyGreen.

Beautiful citrus-fruity top note, then subtle green freshness, but unfortunately almost unnoticeable after two hours!

Fougere-green-earthy-bitter-aquatic + an unpleasant green note for me: patchouli + sage mix? Gets sweaty. Conclusion: Really masculine.

More Fiat 500 Roadster than Ferrari. Subtle, light, citrusy fresh green scent. Very mild.

Uncomplicated summer and sport scent with a Mediterranean vibe. Fresh-citrusy at first, green-spicy and woody as it develops. Good!

A fresh breeze with a sharp edge. After 10 minutes, we catch a whiff of a pile of overripe mandarins. 2:30 hours later, it lingers.

Fruity-bitter, citrus-herbaceous start, with a fresh-spicy, aromatic heart that finishes rosy-woody and earthy-sweet.
