Fresh, green and clean!
I wasn't expecting much from this one since I'm not particularly fond of smelling like figs or vetiver (personal preferences), so when I received it with a Guerlain purchase, I stashed it to the side and almost forgot about it. Now that I've been testing random official samples in my collection (this weeks looks to be a Guerlain week too), I took it out.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the scent. I get a very strong soapy, green and fresh floral neroli. Not as agressive as I've smelled in other fragrances, but still very fragrant. I also get a soft, honeyed fig that empowers the green aspect of neroli and the fragrant sweetness of the flower. Tonka beans turn this fragrance in a scent reminiscent of a luxurious soap lather (as it almost always does on my skin). Makes me feel clean and refined, sophisticated and elegant! I do smell vetiver underneath it all, but it's very subtle. It's slightly spicy and earthy.

A very nice Aqua Allegoria I wasn't expecting to enjoy as much as I did. It won't move on as a full bottle since it was a like more than a love, but I'm glad I got to try it. The notes are all masterfully well-blended and not one rises above the other. Beautiful!

Extremely Powerful White Floral
An incredibly gorgeous and natural white floral composition.

The opening blast is very green, with lashings of fig leaf, petitgrain, and grassy vetiver. But soon the lush heart of neroli, rose, and fig flesh begins to unfurl, setting atop a warm base of woods and a dash of Guerlinade. There's something immensely creamy, warm, and lactonic in the composition, which is balanced with the smooth vetiver flowing throughout (nothing even close to Encre Noire here) and a bright almost sunscreen tone (in a good way). Smelled from afar, it smells like some 90s fragrance which I can't exactly place, but something breezy and airy and even beachy. Sometimes it gives me echoes of Jean Paul Gaultier's discontinued masterpiece, Fleur de Male. Up close you more of the fruity fig, which gets jammier as time goes on, and woods. Performance as everyone has said is very potent, with great projection and sillage and longevity of easily 8 hours or more.

Overall, this is definitely growing on me with each wear. I still don't think that I'll end up getting it just becauase I don't favor white florals that much on myself, and the composition overall leans a bit too feminine for my liking. Still, it could be classified as unisex if you're comfortable with fragrances like Reflection Man and Fleur de Male. Nevertheless, the quality and depth of this scent is palpable and incredibly beautiful. Try it, at the very least.

A concentrated version of the regular with added figs for added sweetness.
This sample came with the Nerolia Vetiver Harvest purchase, and I used it until it was empty, and it's really good.
I think I'll use this one after I finish Harvest. It definitely lasts longer than Aqua Allegoria.
The top notes of citrus and fig come through, and it feels like essential oil. The fragrance, the sharpness of the essential oil, and the mellowness of the fig all match well. I don't really feel the vetiver. It feels like a concentrated, reduced version of Nerolia Vetiver. I definitely prefer this to the original. It feels like a neroli that can be used in the fall and winter.

Yummy lush fig with a vetiver murmur
I really really wanted more vetiver in this. The opening is powerful, floral, and then the green fig note comes in. It stays there for a while, and then softly departs leaving a low base of vetiver. The quiet vetiver leaves to be desired, I really wished that there was more of it. Because the beginning is a very original juxtaposition to vetiver that I had not smelled before and the evolution of the scent is gorgeous!!! Arghhh. The drydown is just too muted for me. Perhaps that is what you like?

Exuberant Summer Games - Nuances of the Sister Scents
Eighteen days ago, I published a review under this name, not realizing that there are different versions of Nerolia Vétiver in the new Aqua Allegoria line from Guerlain. There is an Eau de Toilette simply called "Nerolia Vétiver," which I actually wanted to discuss and have since transferred to the right place. Now, however, I also wanted to test the other two fragrances, as the ingredients are not the same. "Harvest Nerolia Vétiver" has a honeyed sweetness of orange blossom, "Nerolia Vétiver" has a sweet note with fig and a green basil note. "Forte Nerolia Vétiver," which is the focus here, is the spicier variant and more intense, thus an Eau de Parfum. I have since sniffed all the waters in the line that interest me and that I could get my hands on, and I like some, but I actually like this scent best alongside its green sister, so I want to dedicate a few words to it that it deserves.

In the opening, the zesty yet soft neroli tickles the nose, a slightly bitter but not piercing citrus fruit, waking it up, arm in arm with a fine sweet fig scent and warm vetiver wood. The three are finely tuned, none dominates. Three children play a lively yet peaceful game in the summer garden. And while they are still laughing together and cheerfully brightening their surroundings, another friend joins in, stepping out from the shadow of the hedge, the slightly spicy darker tonka bean, and now the game becomes even more lively, the laughter louder, and I watch the imaginative play full of joy, movement, and ideas. I remember games during summer holidays on the neighboring farm with my favorite uncle in the countryside. We frolicked unsupervised, without having to take care, loud, across the yard, through the barn, across the field, untamed, coming up with wild games, meaningful and nonsensical, deeply happy. The tonka bean is the leader, but one that does not overshadow the three friends; she is a good team player. She gives the fragrance the strength that I missed in the Eau de Toilette. "Nerolia Vétiver" is so beautiful; I just wanted more of it. "Forte Nerolia Vétiver" radiates further and lasts longer, as I would expect from an Eau de Parfum, and thus does not have the lightness of the two sisters. The spiciness has something of espresso that invigorates.

After a few hours, the fine vetiver wood becomes more noticeable, while the neroli takes a rest.

I sit on the swing and push off vigorously, letting myself be carried high up; this fragrance brings me exuberant joy amidst the summer scents, the games, the warmth.

Opens like a fresh honey coated orange blossom, balanced with a woody note rounded by a warm tonka. I feel like a bee! bzzzzzzzz

️ Neroli, combination with Vetiver reminds me of Vetiver pour Elle. This version is softer than edp. I agree with cosmetic feel in drydown.

Lots of neroli in the foreground with Guerlain citrus DNA. Totally unisex. Potent silage and way above avarage longevity.

It's really quite gorgeous. Dense, creamy and almost spicy sweetness with neroli dancing on top, a wonderful vetiver grassiness in the back.

Very bright, fresh, and green neroli at first, turns into the scent of a nice high quality lotion. Enjoyable to this white floral disliker.

Soapy, green and fresh neroli paired with a refined fig note. Tonka adds sweetness and vetiver adds a subtle undertone of complex spices.

I like it just as much as the regular version: neroli and vetiver well balanced, with fig in the background: fine AA!

For neroli fans, this is definitely a delight. It becomes creamy over time, and a well-integrated fig note emerges. Vetiver is subtle, more tonka in the base.
