Shall We Remain Friends?!
Screw staying friends, that's all I have to say... okay, that's a bit harsh. But Jacomo for Men could be described as just such an unsatisfying friendship scent. Nice, but super quickly forgotten.
As a blend of Allure Homme & a bright leather fragrance, it’s a perfect everyday scent, although the combination sounds better than it actually is in the end. Or let's put it this way: the closer you are to the beginning of your personal fragrance journey, the more sensible a purchase becomes. And it’s definitely better than most new releases from 2015/16. However, the more you know, the larger your collection is, the less it really knocks you off your socks.
Cardamom, plum & leather - these are the main components that my nose perceives. Maybe even a hint of vanilla. From this, one could create a blockbuster with enormous projection, but here everything is bright, friendly, almost light. Any punch has been throttled, as if you were limiting a Ferrari to a ticket-unfriendly 130 km/h. Pleasant & maybe sensible, nice & fun is, however, something else. The older Jacomo fragrances played in a whole different league of boldness.
Bottle: simply chic
Sillage & durability: office average across the board.
Conclusion: the reliable one - and unfortunately also a bit boring. Here, Jacomo plays it safe. A bit too much. Yet the slightly sweet, underlying leather note is actually a great base!
