Nice and easy
Isn't it cute how the "fine noses of fragrance community" treat all perfumes like they are marketed towards them and get horribly offended when trying a Juliette has a Gun release. This brand has an audience of its own. One that does not strive for that holy grail fragrance and could not care less for note pyramids or batch numbers. Whether they are Gen Z, millennials or whatever, does not matter. Ego Stratis fits perfectly in JHAG's line-up. Casual, unpretentious with hints of 'nice and easy'. Works lovely as a minor addition to your appearance. Less effective as a showpiece.

Mediocre
It is a much softer version of Ysl-y throat burning and overwhelming ginger note. However, its spread and performance have decreased a lot. When these are taken into consideration, I can say that its price is too expensive. The scent profile does not change, it is almost completed as in the opening. This may be boring for some users. It is one of the rare perfumes that is almost suitable for all four seasons. Although it is unisex, its masculinity is a bit ahead.

BOOO-RIIING
This was a big dislike for me altough i think “normal” people would like it.

I tried a sample on the hand and it was like “ffff, this is so boring”. It reminded me of a cheap mix between erba pura and ambroxan. A lot of fruitiness mixed with a very simplistic designerish synthetic vibe.

I’m not at all against easy to like perfumes, i love them, but this smells like a copy paste of this, that and the other one, like they didn’t put much effort when creating the fragrance. Plus, it smells very cheap synthetic and i don’t accept it when a fragrance costs more than 100€, sorry.

I’m struggling finding a fragrance from this house worth its price. Might sound gross but this should step down into the sephora thing, at 50-60€

Very personal opinion, sorry.

Summery Freshness
And once again, I feel compelled to take a stand for a Juliette has a Gun perfume!
Unfortunately, this one also doesn't fare well, unjustly in my opinion. Perhaps I simply have an unconventional taste in fragrances, which is why I often cannot relate to the negative reviews here.
Ego Stratis is, for me, a fresh, aquatic scent that I really like, and I'm not usually that enthusiastic about aquatic fragrances. But there's something about it that has captivated me, which I can't quite categorize. I sprayed it on my arm to see how it develops. Time and again, a fresh breeze wafts into my nose that I find simply pleasant. It smells like freshly showered and clean, unobtrusive yet present.
Yes, perhaps there are similar nuances in the "men's shelf," but still, the Ambroxan note that I love adds something special that not every men's fragrance possesses. I wasn't really familiar with Calone before; as I said, I'm not usually into aquatic scents, but I'm open to it.

I am a self-proclaimed Juliette has a Gun fan and will not be swayed by the often negative reviews.

What does a label cost?
In this case, the "permission" for a woman (or anyone of any gender) to wear a "men's fragrance" comes at a high price. Similar options have long existed in the men's fragrance department.

But one has to be brave enough as a non-man to spray on such a scent. But do you even smell a difference after spraying? The label doesn’t evaporate with it. Those who dare to reach for "Cool Water" and its clones can save a lot.

As for the scent itself, there isn't much to say: a citrusy top note, along with a hefty scoop of Calone, ensuring that the aquatic aspect is definitely not lacking. All laid out on a woody base, garnished with a bit of sweetness. Certainly not poorly made, but far from unique.

A formulation that already exists by the hundreds - just in the men's section.

Take Cool Water and any women's designer fruity, and et voilà you have a universal trend fragrance.

Boring, generic, more masculine, kinda mass pleasing “light blue” fragrance. Nothing special about this one.

It does what it sets out to do -- create a modern take on cologne. If you like classic men's colognes, this won't disappoint.

Very marine and citrus forward. Nothing groundbreaking really.

Nice enough, nothing that excites me but also nothing that offends me. Clean and fresh with poor longevity.

First citrusy, fresh berries, then increasingly sweet + synthetic. This sweetish
chemistry ruins the scent for me. I can't do it with JHaG.

For me, this is trendy 08/15 synthetic with mass-compatible interchangeability. Citrus notes, Calone, pencil cedar...

Better than expected. Androgynous with pleasant synthetic notes. Citrusy-fresh at the start, dry-woody in the dry down. Clean and showered into the cyber world.

Oh, I don't think it's that bad at all. Citrusy musk freshness with a good dose of synthetic. It definitely has that just-showered vibe. It stands out..

In short: the scent leans towards shower gel but more on the higher-end side. The bottle is great. The price for this fragrance is too high.
