In Our Expanding Universe of Scent, Yekipé Is Nothing Special

Yekipé is not special... it is not a beautiful or unique snowflake. Don't get me wrong, it is neither bad nor meh, you might think it is unique and special, but really it is not... It is not that bad but only if you can find it as cheap as I did. Yet another ordinary citrus-woody-musky cologne in the scent's universe. As "Yekipé" is interpreted in the Caló language as "Identity", I am not so eager this scent .

It opens up with a cocktail of lemon juice and pepper with a thin green apple's slice. The marine accord is not overwhelming, more like an onshore breeze blowing from the sea water toward a landmass.

In heart notes the structure of the perfume changes and takes much more body maintaining freshness, with fresh woody notes oscillating between sandalwood and leaves of tobacco to the water and participation of greens in the family of sage and geranium leaves, reminding several known fragrances of the woody group cool of the nineties.

The dry-down tends to a classic green without losing the fresh style that leads from the beginning, with mixtures of wood, some moss with a little lavender, with traces of amber tonka.

The fragrance, although it starts light and somewhat generic, improves considerably towards the end. It seems focused on spring and summer, some coastal or open air, for relaxed daily use and even with a clean image in the office. Target is young age range, between 20 and 45 years old.
This is the first time I wore it at work. No one complained about the smell but I didn't like how I was feeling wearing it. I felt cheap... It didn't last much though. When sprayed it smelled tackily loud but it settled down and stayed close to the skin quite quickly. It lasted a couple of hours max.

That's it... Nothing special.
