Fresh Laundry in Summer
I absolutely love the flanker Black Sensual, but I was curious to see how the original smells.
The top notes are very similar to Black Sensual, somewhat fruity-synthetic and indefinable. But that doesn’t bother me. After that, this scent is initially more floral and flowery, especially when held close to the nose. You can pick up a hint of chamomile.
From a distance, the similarity to Black Sensual is recognizable; the same fresh-piercing note that makes Black S. so special to me is also present here. If Black S. were a lamp with a dimmer, then Sensual would be that lamp turned up bright. I feel like there is less vanilla in this scent than in the flanker. As a result, Sensual feels a bit fresher in comparison and like the day-time variant; at the same time, it inevitably has a bit less sweetness. I wouldn’t classify the scent as gourmand anymore, but it’s still not just fresh or floral. In my opinion, the fruity top notes don’t completely fade away; they are subtle and round off the fabric softener freshness. Those who like the fabric softener Fresh Control Cool Fresh and Frischer Morgen by Vernel might find a lovely fresh laundry scent here.
