Unjustly discounted!
The lovely Thess sent me the sample so I could give it a sniff. I consulted Aunt Google but couldn't find any details about the elegant scent in the purple bottle - pyramid, launch year, etc. - so I had to rely on my own nose.
Èlégance Absolue starts with a strong "old cabin" note and almost instantly turns into an opulent floral orgy. I bet 5 snakes from my head that there are lilies, jasmine, orchids, and possibly dark roses in here. Tuberoses didn't trumpet at me.
The floral parade continues, and a grand powder theater raises the curtain. The piece shows how Mrs. Almond and Mr. Chocolate fall in love.
For a moment, Absolue reminds me of Mahora by Guerlain, but that one is lighter and not as floral.
A splendid gentleman and fortunately (for my nose) not too sweet or sticky. The sillage has an estimated radius of 25 m!
The base is wood, deep, warm, heavy.
Not suitable as a daytime scent unless a woman has a grand theatrical entrance planned for around 9:00 AM.
