Really good !
Fished by the currently quite high perfume rating, I also decided to buy blindbuy ... and it was (more than) worth it! Because as a fan of fruity & fresh fragrances Zeus hits the bull's eye with me, and I know only a few who realize both attributes equally well.
Zeus starts with an apple that initially brings a touch of artificiality, but is neither too sweet, nor too sour or even bitter, but balanced and transparent. This means that its light synthetic weight is hardly noticeable, so that this EDT comes across as quite valuable despite its low price.
The apple note is very fresh and dominates the fragrance until after about 45 minutes a light sweetness is added, which also makes it a little more floral and softer, which should be the lily of the valley. A wonderful arrangement!
The quite strong Sillage is noticeable, which builds up increasingly, until it goes down again after approx. 2 hours and settles at approx. 30-40 cm - and very long (approx. 7-8 hours on shirt).
The projection theme now brings me to the peculiarity of this freshy. As Basti already mentioned in his Kommi, Zeus is a "complex fragrance". But while he mainly meant the individual scents, I see two more aspects of his complexity:
Sweetness: on the one hand Zeus is quite sweet, on the other hand not as sweet as currently indicated in the diagram with 20% - at least if I compare it with such high percentages of other fragrances. Because then Zeus should only be around 10%-12%. However, the sweetness also changes a little in the course of the fragrance ... Somehow you can feel it, but it is simply not so intense. Great job!
Projection: on the one hand Zeus can radiate up to 1m (depending on the carrier material), even if only in the first 2 hours. Later, however, the projection disappears again and again or at least fades before it comes back again. One could see this as a disadvantage, but especially with rather sweet scents I feel this as very pleasant, in order not to "penetrate" one's neighbors (and oneself). So also here a change, a back and forth, which makes the fragrance somehow even more attractive (however, the invigorating transparent freshness of Zeus has nothing sticky or pompous about it anyway, as it is projected by many (too) sweet scents).
Scent notes: on the one hand Zeus seems to be quite simple and one is inclined to smell almost only one note out: fruity fresh. This is true for the most part, but there are more ingredients to sniff out. Because the apple disappears after approx. 2.5 hours or is at least no longer exclusively recognizable as such. What remains is a wonderfully soft, natural fruitiness that I can't define any closer - somehow familiar, but also like a shot of coconut, carried by a little fluffy-light lavender. And the whole thing is based on a discreetly increasing wood base, which sets a noble counterpoint. A very harmonious mix!
Conclusion: Zeus is a cheap but surprisingly high-quality, fine sweet fruit scent, which is more complex in structure (and effect) than it seems. He plays for up to 8 hours with an alternating bath of projection, sweetness and scents, with which he can both confuse and pamper his wearer. And that makes him
really good !
