Great Summery Version
Continuing with the Kenzo Homme line. A series of which I own all releases except for the brand new Kenzo Homme Indigo, which of course will be added later. Overall, it’s a really great series where Quentin Bisch has created a wonderful DNA that is present in almost all of these fragrances. Do you need them all? Not really. Many have a similar vibe and the differences are not always that significant. This Eau de Toilette Marine is already one of my favorites from this line, with a distinctly summery touch as can be easily recognized by the name and color. The summery game changer here is of course the creamy-summery Ylang Ylang, which exudes a light marine sunscreen vibe. It should be on your radar if you like creamy-summery notes and the DNA of the original.
In terms of price, this line is really top-notch, offering high-quality, serious fragrances for around 50€ for 110ml. Absolutely worth it, especially if you like that sharp spice and already have freshness for everyday wear. It’s quite unique and you get a fragrance with character.
The scent comes in an elongated cardboard box suitable for this elongated bamboo stick. The bottle comes in a matching marine color and fits perfectly into this summer look.
From the DNA, you can immediately tell that this belongs to the Kenzo Homme line. However, it has received a newer, fresher outfit. It is very creamy right from the start, and this marine freshness comes through nicely. This typical synthetic wood note from the other versions also comes through well and is quite pleasant and modern. Overall, this version is kept rather mild due to this wonderful creamy note. Added to that is clean musk and creamy sandalwood, which harmonizes perfectly with this Ylang note. Overall, it’s a very creative version that you should test if you like creamy-summery notes.
Performance is very good like all versions, and with this summery addition, this fragrance lasts very well. The sillage is also impressive, especially in the first hours. It can be worn very well for many occasions, even in everyday life.
